Pizza burns? But in the latest Top Gear, they demonstrated that pizza was an excellent heat shield. I'm so confused now. Cry

+1 for Top Gear reference. Pizza burn is when you bite into that delicious smelling, fresh out of the oven pizza and scorch and blister the roof of your mouth with the cheese that's as hot as the sun, and then spend the next few hours teasing the flap of tissue from the burst blister with your tongue.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Scams are OK if victim is given full information.

Problem is margin scams.

Margin scams are a grey area because victim cannot see that a buy order does not have enough isk to cover it - thats unfair.

Margin trading scams rely on stupidity, drunkeness or greed, I know this because I've been caught by one though being both drunk, and greedy. Lesson learnt, I don't play drunk, often, and now diligently research anything that looks too good to be true, 99.999999% of the time it's a scam.

They're easy to avoid, all of the information required to figure out that A: the item(s) you purchased are way over market value, and B: that the buy order is also way over market value is readily available ingame.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

If it's okay by CCP then it's okay by me. Not that I have a lot of choice in the matter if I want to play this game.

As a reputable isk doubler of some note, I am against scamming. However, as a tireless advocate of the sandbox, I fully support scammers being free to carry out their operations.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Props for being able to pull one off.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

Though I do not scam, I have no problem with it being permitted in Eve in general. I dislike scams that rely on someone making a typographical error or scams based on someone not knowing the more obscure game mechanics (like margin scams, the old freeform contract scams, etc.). Most of all though, I hate scams that are boring, unimaginative copies of things others have done a million times by others. Also, the spam is just awful. I wish I could actually use local when I go to a trade hub.

Jita local - and all the nasty scams lurking there - may be annoying, but they make the most populated system of the game feel like Mos Eisley.

Many other games rely on fancy graphics or some scripted npc dialogue to get that 'wretched hive of scum and villainy' vibe.

In EVE, players create it themselves. How cool is that?

I just block the spamming scammers and move on. Up to nearly 300 blocked, of course it's just a drop in the ocean compared to how many there are.

Maybe with WiS, we could make it more like Mos Eisley and remove the block function. Mad at a spammer? Pull out your laser pistol.

Sad thing is, the only people that would fall for ANY of the plex scams are noobs.

And CCP continues to nerf stuff to make the game more noob friendly?????

Does not compute.
