Ask them about Vak'Atioth and their other acts of territorial expansion. Ask them why the Ni-Kunni are relegated to menial labor and treated as second class citizens. Ask them about the orbital bombardment of Starkman Prime. Ask them about the invasion and occupation of Matar.

Once you get the answers to these questions, ask yourself why you'd ever consider being a part of their vision for humanity.

Oh boy, this thread will go places quite fast.

I think you may misunderstand a few things about the religion and intent of slavery in that religion.

The submissiveness is towards God, not Amarr or people in general. People, namely Holders, are believed to be charged with enforcing this, but more importantly responsible for education. It's easy to confuse.

Personal growth is actually encouraged with spiritual growth the focus.

Regarding the Ni-Kunni, they have gained high positions in the past and are not limited to labor. There are also examples of people-the Nefantar being a prime one-who accepted the Amarr faith and were spared slavery. Slavery is not necessary according to the Amarr faith.

Regarding Starkman Prime, it's a very dark place. Ever been to Vo'shun? It's a place that has been scarred by both Amarr and Minmatar. The Outcasts are no fans of the Republic.

I'm sure I'll have more to say when this thread heats up a bit. There's a start for you though.

And then ask them about the Khanid, who became blessed when they willingly accepted the word of God. And ask them also about the Udorians who were once slaves but now have an heir to the throne amongst their number.

Apparently, to the Amarr, political and economic mobility for every citizen is only a few thousand years away ...

If we are to judge the slavery "Salvation" program on the merits of its slaves becoming normalized into society, IE "saved", then it quantitatively fails in every category. What is it, a 5% success rate? Less?

Any God, or religion structured around such; as which demands blind obedience, and the enslavement of other peoples is disgusting in all aspects. Such a God is nothing more than an egotistical, insecure bigot, unworthy of praise or admiration. An enlightened society would cast off the chains of such enslavement and ground its religion into the dust.

Attempts to justify or explain away such evil is nothing more than appeasement towards it. I may be mistaken, Mr. Mintor, however I feel your stance in many ways is exactly this.

You are mistaken Mr. Vorpalstar.

Blind hate is not productive. If you're going to fight something then you must understand it first. My purpose of joining this discussion isn't to appease or defend anything, but to bring truth to light. If you should argue something, at least be truthful about it. Many would hate every Amarr for the society they were simply born into but that would be misguided. Understand the people and the religion that drives them and you will see that truth illuminates solutions.

The proper way to judge a salvation program is its admission rates to Paradise.

The Gallente salvation program has a damn near zero percent success rate by that measure. The Amarr salvation program has a success rate considerably north of that.

We must be broken down before we can be lifted back up. Otherwise, in our pride, we will reject the hand of those who would help us be better than we are.

That is because we don't go to the same paradise - and most of us really don't want to go to your paradise.

We go to a different paradise, and our salvation rates concerning that paradise are close to a 100% while that of the Amarr is nearly 0%. The rates are directly proportional to the ammount of funny pictures you keep on your datacores.

The Gallente paradise is a place to be merry, were there is infinite drink, food of all types, people of the gender you're attracted to, and you can post cats on the GalNet until you die, only to be ressurected shortly after to start posting again. And when Judgement Day comes, Freedom herself will lead us across the rainbow bridge to argue with Hordes of Caldari dictators at the GalNet Fight of the End of The World.

My my, you word this like scientific fact. I am unaware of any technology that allows us to see the "otherside" and this "Paradise" so that we can see first hand that what you say is correct.

If you can't prove it scientifically, then it's a matter of faith, and faith is never fact. How do you KNOW that your success rate is north of zero? Faith?

Tell you what, send me 1billion isk, and I will x3 it and send it back. This is a matter of faith, which you are quite familiar with yes? Then send the isk on faith. Your god will make sure I send it back... right? :)

There is nothing to understand here.

This is not about hating the Amarrian people themselves. It is pointing out the evil of a religous society that only subjects it's own citizens and forcefully enslaves those whom are deemed 'less worthy'.

Some times it is best to call a spade a spade and deal with it accordingly. And if it means winning freedom for an oppressed people by burning the citidels and cities of a debased society to the ground. Then so be it.

While I agree that we should defend ourselves, burning cities to the ground is just killing innocents and isn't acceptable. You would kill those that have no say in the way their government is run.
