EVE Online: Crucible will be deployed tomorrow, Nov 29. Downtime will begin at 08:00 UTC and is expected to be completed at 14:00 UTC. For more information about EVE Online: Crucible, please refer to this news item and full patch notes are available here.

Please use this thread for all comments and feedback.

We are looking forward to welcoming you all to EVE Online: Crucible tomorrow!

Update:
The patch notes have been updated with the following changes.

  • Planetary Interaction: We have boosted the bandwidth of links to be 10 times 5 times bigger to deal with the hassle of constantly upgrading them.
  • Captains Quarters and 'Load Station Environment' option: When first logging into Crucible, this option will be switched on for everyone. This is in order to be able to spin your ship and not get a static imagine.
  • Most starbase structures have had their anchor and unanchor timers reduced to 5 seconds and their online timers set to 3 seconds.
  • Starbase turrets, launchers, electronic warfare batteries and hardeners have had their anchor and unanchor timers reduced to 5 seconds and their online timers have been normalized to 120 seconds.

Crucible Question:

As far as the new Capt Qtr. go, is the factional qtrs. based on my character or is it based on the faction that owns the station?

For example, I'm Caldari. If I dock to an Amarr station, would I get an Amarr CQ because of the station or would I still receive my Caldari-based CQ?

Thanks,

Can you elaborate on this?

Quote:

Time Dilation

* In an effort to keep tremendously large fleet engagements fun, the universe will slow down time in order to keep up with the strain of simulating many hundreds of ships.
* Read more about the details and motivations in CCP Veritas’ devblog Introducing Time Dilation and watch him demo it in the Time Dilation Video Demo.
* Due to the dangerous nature of altering the fabric of spacetime in such ways, the feature will be turned on at a slightly later date. This is to provide isolation from other fundamental alterations to the machinations of the universe in order to reduce the chances of total protonic reversal.

More specifically, could you give a ballpark figure for this later date? Later this week? Sometime in December? "Soon(tm)"? Also what's the hold-up? (plus, I would imagine total protonic reversal of EVE universe would be a pretty boom and we play EVE for pretty booms, so...)

Based on the faction that owns the station Reteris. So if you are of the Amarr race, docking into a Caldari Navy station; you will be in Caldari CQ. Also, the CQ in empire space are cleaner than those in nullsec Blink

Could you look into why "To be released Tuesday, November 29, 2011. The following are the relevant file sizes for client updates" is "aligned" with numerous nbsp's?

Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light. Cool

Nice set of changes. Small changes since devblogs, too.
