shooting a suspect.

Hey,

So say I see a suspect remote repairing someone in hi-sec. I fly over and put a scram on this suspect, does this make me a suspect and everyone can attack me or just the guy i put the scram on.

If he is a suspect, and you attack him, he will have the right to attack back. However, noone else will gain permission to attack you.

Things aren't always as they seem in high sec.. especially around suspects...

Generally, if you only shoot that suspect, the remote rep guy, he is the only pilot that can shoot you back.
And what's he got to shoot you with? Remote reps? You have a (very) slim chance of dying in most cases.

If you are alert and on the ball, you are correct. But the RR ship can do all sorts of inventive things if they don't have a weapons timer (swap ships in an orca or to another ship in space, dock and undock in a combat vessel, etc). Hell, even the RR ship itself could be combat fit to take you down!

If you have your safety on green, you cannot do anything which will make you a suspect.

It does nothing to prevent limited engagements.

OP, I suggest you go to Dodixie or Hek and have a 'talk' with Mastercard or Failed Diplomacy, you'll get plenty of experience on the to and not to of things. ;)

If you see a suspect 'flashy yellow'i call it then your free to shoot without going suspect.
