I have been playing with this game on and off for the past 8 years. I do not even dare to say how much I have spent on it.
But it does not matter because "SpaceShips are serious business" and I love it even though I am still a noone in the Universe.

Ever since the sh*tstorm of "Walking in Stations" - was Incarna - it seems to me that CCP is taking the safe route when it comes to new features and releases.
Take a look at this site:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expansions_of_Eve_Online

The most awesome things about all the features since I am playing (2006):

  • Revelations 1: Rigs, new scanning system/exploration, combat boosters, new map, 8 new REGIONS
  • Revelations 2: overheating, bombs, L5 agents, OUTPOSTS
  • Trinity: new graphics engine, 20 new ships, 5 new ship classes,
  • Empyrean Age: FW
  • ...
  • Incarna: Walking in stations, Reverant, pretty turrets, mining lasers, tractor beams
  • Ever since then: small tiny features (eg. mobile structures) and rebalance passes - nothing really excitingly new such as the wormholes were in Apocrypha (2009)

Why I am butthurt:
Rebalance is needed and much loved! I just love the new possibilities and how it has transformed EVE, however I want FEATURES! New stuff, not the old stuff done different. Something I have not felt in years: Ahh crazy! I have to try that!

IBLT. Also can I have your stuff?

Seriously though, mind waiting until they announce the next expansion before being majorly mad?

Edit: Apocrypha was massive, easily the largest expansion since I started playing in 2009. You can't hold all expansions to that standard.

I don't think she's mad, so much as disappointed. To a certain extent, so am I: this is the fourth iteration of Rubicon, while most previous expansions had only two (release, 1.1, and that's it).

I want those new regions! Big smile

I don't believe you understand just how important rebalancing of ships is. There are now ships, which are never flown in battle and that is just such a shame.

I agree.

The last expansions lacked a lot of content.

Of course balancing is important but I think recent things such as the mobile structures are a massive waste of time and ressources.

I think that a lot of work is done in the background to undo the "spaghetti" code and "future-proof" EvE to take it into the second decade.

The new mobile deployable structures are built on new code that I believe is going to be replacing the old POS code, something which has been in dire need since, well, forever really.

Bringing the code, infrastructure and all the associated bits in line along with ship balancing takes time and if it means easier and better things to come (read as Player Stargates) then I'll give them a little leeway on that.

Lots need fixing\improving before we add more to the universe. PvE hasn't been revisited since, well, god knows when. While you make all throw your hands in the air and scream "Carebears must die!" remember that it's just another play style often for those that have a little time or just fancy a quick "EvEO Fix".

Scanning needs to be taken to school and smartened up and not dumbed down anymore...

S&I needs a massive overall.

UI needs improving especially the Fleet UI (it's fugly!)

And I need not mention Corp Management as it's just a disaster.

So there's lots still to do and if you want content then go out and make it, it's a sandbox and all the tools are there.

No, we dont have THESE kind of Tools!

We can only move a bit in each direction, but the truth is our possibilities are pretty much defined, but maybe thats what we need, real Tools not just the Products from CCP itself.

You are limited only by the strength of your imagination...and the Jita Price OFC Lol.

Seriously though, all the tools are there...and it is a sandbox, build castles, siege castles, kick sand in the face of the new guy...you can do it all.

proving once again that people are horrible at remembering the features list from each expansion.

If content addition had continued at the same rate of some of the earliest expansions of the game, this game would be a terrible hot mess, wtih like at least 4 new classes of capital ships.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

I CANT build my own Gate, discover new Systems, Build my own Ship (beyond the current possibilities), invent new kind of Weapons or Items even i would Run a ally with 5000+ ...

You see me imagination goes beyond that and thats the reason we should Talk about the future.

Do I recall it correctly, that the first CQs were Minmatar and not Gallente, as it claims in the article about Incarna?
Otherwise in Crucible the the Gallente CQ would not have been praised as one of three new CQs.
