So i peaked my head in to the New Order public channel and they were talking about AFK mining and not able to make since of it


1) AFK mining does not makes sense to me, they get full and just sit there until player returns or what?

1) pardon my ignorance

2) if i had to guess, i bet most of them set an alarm
1) what a pain in the arse that wud be in my opinion

2) come back to comp, dock unload, come back
2)hit the mining button
2) leave for another half hour
1) pretty stupid in my opinion

I lol'd so hard i had to leave chat

and does any of the miners even read the code to realize their basically invalidating the permit as soon as they buy one if they spend a day or multiple days just mining?

and why industrialist other than being easy kills, they make the least as is, mission runners make more and dont even start on incursion runners making over 1b a day. Some one has to build your gank ships and ammo....after all the market is run my does miners and industrialist with the market being over 90% pilot made/ acquired goods

Speaking of missions, there are people blitzing level 5's in carriers making 1b+ per hour.

Hisec Mining is the worst source of income in Eve.

if I need minerals I'll loot large railguns from the 100s of gurista wrecks i can make in an hour.

From a playing perspective most people mine to have isk for some reason, and that some reason is usually either to pvp or fly shiny combat ships, but mining actually delays the acquisition of the skills for pvp or making much use of shiny things, and furthermore falling foul of CODE whilst doing it, says meh, think about your game.

As there are several threads spread across this forum on the topic of the new order, their code and/or (presumed) afk mining, this thread gets a lock.
