I don't about you other Aussies, but in my corp, most of the peeps are NZ or Sydney :P Or Queensland. Anything but Melbourne basically! Just wondering who here is from good ol Melbs and would be interested in a meet-up of some sort for drinkies or other chaos-making? :)

Saturday, April 5th good for everyone? EXCELLENT. Lock it in. I'll fly over from Adelaide and come drinking with you guys.

Now we someone with a bit local knowledge pick a venue. I'd recommend:

Around midday
At a pub
Somewhere central-ish

Rainbow Hotel in Fitzroy - about a 10min tram ride from the city, proper Melbourne pub with bands every night of the week, bigish beer garden

Upstairs balcony at the Lounge - In the city, is actually a club at night but the beer isn't too expensive, nice view of Swanston St

Rooftop Bar on Swanston St - way way WAY up high, awesome view of the city but it can get busy and isn't exactly pub priced

Corner Hotel in Richmond - 3 min train ride from the city (10 if you have to go through the loop). Another live music venue with a massive beer garden on the roof


Anyone else got some suggestions?

Corner Hotel sounds good! 12.30pm for lunch, beers and spaceship discourse and then wherever the night takes us for whoever sticks around that long! :)
