I do not see anything wrong with your name, Jeff. I have a couple RL friends named Jeff. They never heard of anyone having a hard time pronouncing Jeff.

Jeff, the great thing about Eve is you can be known by many names. For instance, I have a close friend named Alex that many people know as James.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Oh get off it and get over yourself. Eve is a stupid video game, not a Mensa entrance exam. People who are "good at Eve" aren't superior intellects, better lovers, or internet visionaries. From what I've seen on these forums most aren't even capable of constructing a coherent thought in English with proper spelling and punctuation (excluding those for whom English isn't their native language). Holy hell I can't stand Eve players sometimes.

To the OP's point, I'm afraid you're stuck with the name you chose. Why CCP is so opposed to making it possible to change a character name for a fee (with a database cross-reference to the original when searched) is beyond me. Either it's technically not possible with the byzantine game code or, they too suffer from bittervet arrogance.

Well all i can say is... i get convos from spanish & italian people that try to write spanish & Italian to me, then they let me know my name means hard ass in their native tongue... yeah.

I'd just call you bide. If I can't pronounce i'll find a short, I am notorious for mispronunciation, anyone who has flown with me knows this, i'll usually call you ilitials, or a few letters after I butcher your name once. I also tend to call people by the first char that ever joined me. A guy in my corp kept buying and selling chars when he first joined ages ago, and I always called him Ice after his first guy. had a guy drop a toon and make a new one and I called him by the first guys name. Shrugs

I'm sorry that you now don't like your name. If it was offensive complaints could get it changed.. other than that you are stuck with it. I suspect your best course of action is to save up and buy a new character from the baazar that already has the sp you want and has a name you like better. I do not think allowing name changes is a good idea in anyway.
