RIP Harold. He did some classic writing with "Stripes." I didn't know he was on SCTV (one of the best comedy sketch shows ever!)

I believe he left it around 1979, right before it finally came to America after Saturday Night Live. Gotta watch the Canadian reruns to see him.

Anyway...............geez. Not been a good year for this stuff so far. So young (as well as Phillip S Hoffman). But then, I am almost 50, and this is when older childhood heroes start passing rapidly. We are due for a couple from Star Trek here soon, probably.

Egon: "Print is dead".

It surprised me how very few roles he ha actually done.

Kind of young though.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

I hope not too many more. Deforest passed last year. Leonard Nimoy's health is failing (COPD from smoking).

...and RIP Harold.

Be careful in Pulsar systems, you might get Pod Flu.

"don't cross the streams... it could be bad"

One of my all time favorite movies.

My teenage daughter loves the movie.

Thank you Harold for all the laughs.

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

"As an actor, he knew the value of a light but firm touch. Consider the scene in “Stripes,” (which he helped write and starred in) where he and Bill Murray apply to join the army. The recruiter asks them: “Now, are either of you homosexuals?” There’s a pause as the comedy partners glance at each other, measuring up the situation. Mr. Ramis stays quiet as Mr. Murray goes first: “You mean, like, flaming, or....?”

After another response from the military man and a beat, Mr. Ramis finishes the exchange with a confident smirk: “No, we’re not homosexuals,” he says flatly, “but we’re willing to learn.”

Lol

Funny how it is. You never really know how much of an effect people have on your life until they are gone.
