Wormholes

Hey everybody,

I have been wondering for a few weeks now, is there a Tengu fitting that can solo everything in a C3 wormhole?
If there is, would you be so kind to share it? As I am in dire need of a ship that can solo a C3 wormhole.

I'd prefer tengu, but if there is something else, by all means do tell.

This is such a FAQ that I wrote a pair of blog entries about it. You can do it for less than 500M in any strategic cruiser.

A standard Drake really struggles with the data & relic sites; it's possible, but you end up having to warp out, regen, then come back. The OP's request was a fit that can do "everything" in a C3; a passive-tanked Drake can handle the anomalies solo -- if slowly -- but you need a little better tank and a lot more range to finish the data & relic sites.

If you adjusted your statement to "Navy Drake", I'd agree with you. You really need 70km+ range (which you get due to the Navy Drake's velocity bonus) if you don't have a prop mod to close on the orbiting sleeper battleships in data & relic sites, or you'll just never finish them because the Sleepers in the relic sites will kite you to death. The regular Drake sacrifices too much tank from rigs to accomplish this and still be able to tank the damage without going into armor I just finished testing a few fits on Singularity this week that couldn't complete C3 relic sites for that reason: no prop mod, and the Sleeper battleships orbiting at 67km put them out of reach of the fit.

Of course, this means that range-fit beasts like Navy Ravens do just fine, too, if you're willing to go battleship-sized. A lot of farmer corps living in C3 do exactly that; they focus on PI and mining income, and run sites at home when the wormhole is zipped up using any of a number of solid solo battleship fits. It's sometimes surprising just how crappy a ship can actually solo C3 Relic sites with no issue...

EDIT: Except the Forgotten Frontier Recursive Depot. This site has DPS from a triple Upholder battleship spawn that's really, really out of line with most other C3 sites. Your tank must be exceptional to deal with it. Typically when soloing this site, I'll burn down one battleship, warp out, rep up, then burn down the remaining two.
