Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

My EFT warrior skills are somewhat lacking. I was wondering if anyone had previously built + Equipped 2 Rattlesnakes which included Cap & Shield transfers with the intention of dual boxing level 5 missions? Just looking for some help so I don't have to re-invent the wheel, so to speak!

Thanks in advance!

With perfect skills and a bit of isk a rattlesnake can solo tank a lvl five.. You will need atype passive resists and t2 rigs but it can easily be done.. i would recommend a scimi till you get the hang of proper positioning but it is very possible..

you cannot active tank it though without 3 or more RR battleships and or logi.. the nuets can easily kill a carrier in a few of them so a battleship is like butter..

The nighthawks native resists also used to work to tank some but IDK anymore with the changes

If you want to use 2 rattlesnakes, go for 2 passive fits. No reason to spider them really, you will most of the time get more trouble from the neuts than its worth. You can even solo L5s with a passive RS, its not really worth it though due to the time you have to spend in it.

Dual boxing the drone aggro correctly needs a little micromanagement, but you can easily pull it off with some practice. The main thing is to choose missions that you can blitz. Blink

Thank you very much chaps, the feedback is very much appreciated!

So from what both of you are saying two Passive Rattlers are a better way to go, which is perfectly fine.

What about throwing a curve-ball in there; What about a passive Rattler & Passive S-NI? Or would the two Rattlers out perform this, from your experience?

Thanks!

It can work, but its not as efficient. The RS has a hull shield recharge time of 2500s while the SNI recharges in 3390s. The end result is that you can get either a substantially higher passive tank from an RS, or the same tank but with a lot more gank.
