Caldari Rokh upgrade/update: Two more missile hardpoints for the Rokh.

Suggestion: Keep everything the same, but add 2 more missle hardpoints.

Why:
I'm using a rokh right now, and the only way I can get any dps out of it is by using those 4 missile launcher hardpoints. I don't mind keeping the ship's bonuses for hybrid turrets, or even keeping the 8 turret hardpoints, but please add 2 more missile hardpoints as well.

It will make the ship more versatile, and I think with out breaking it.

Solve this ships strengths and weakness some other way. It would be nice to see it around once in a while.

I don't understand why you chose this over a raven?

I've got a raven too, but I want to use the rokh. I shouldn't be pigeon holed into one ship for my faction, and just because there is an alternative doesnt mean that its ok that the rokh is so weak. It excels at nothing. Not damage, not tankiness, not speed, not cap, not anything. It needs to be redone, and i think the proposed change would go a long way in to making it usable.

Maybe it was intended to be a blaster platform? I don't know. Caldari turret ships all suffer from disuse, it is something that should be addressed in some way or another.

As for the raven, raven navy issue, and the golem. They are all variation of each other. In my book they are all the same ship. Ive got 2 of them and I feel that way.

Uhm....the Rokh will do just fine with 8 hybrids? Not sure why you think you need missiles...

Maybe your hybrid skills are far behind your missile skills? In which case, yeah, you should use a Raven.

Or a Raven Navy Issue, or a Scorpion Navy Issue, or a Golem. There, that's four ships for your faction--you're not pigeonholed into just one.

You would rather turn a Turret based ship in another missilehauler without any bonus to missiles than thinking about some way to make it a good turret based ship?

How forked up is that?

Seriously, when you wanna fly missilehaulers fly a raven.

@ Chris Winter: I think its more a problem of different looking hulls. The Rokh has an awesome looking hull whereas the raven looks like some guy got drunk and played with Legos.

even with good hybrid skills the rokh still isnt good. Ive looked around and that the conclusion ive come to. It needs to be revised, and I'm trying to do so with out anything ridiculous. When I played amarr I used all the battleships, but as caldari its always the raven. I don't like this. The scorpion is fine, but the rokh I think need some changing. Even if its not what I proposed.

Can't get support for anything on these forums. I dont know why.

Look again.

Making it a missilehauler would not solve its problems.

I have a Rokh, it's decent at long ranges. The Megathron/Hyperion pretty much fill the role I think you are looking for.

I would assume that you are looking at it as a mission ship. It's not. A Rokh is awesome at extreme ranges, there is absolutely no need for that in missions.

What I don't understand is why you would want two additional unbonused launchers on a Rokh? Torp & Blaster fit? (Haven't seen one of those in a while.)

I went ahead and read each of your post, even though the OP seemed very short sighted. What I found is that, you are a ******* idiot.

You're basically asking that every ship in the game be able to fit its high slots with missiles or turrets so that you can fly anything you want with one weapon or the other so you don't have to train other skills.

Each ship is designed to do something different. The fact that you said the Rokh doesn't do anything good shows how ignorant you are. The Rokh gets a heavy tanking bonus with it's resist bonus, its one of the top line BS in the game, and was a very strong PvP meta for some time. It has excellent projection and DPS with it's rails. It is a rail platform. If you want missiles, fly a Raven.

Learn to train, expand your abilities, and adapt. Stop crying for CCP to change the game to your standards. It isnt your game, it is OUR game and CCP is the creator.

I think all tech 1 ships should be made more versatile. I'd like to see the Rokh with 8 turret AND launcher hardpoints, and hybrid bonus but no missile bonus.

There was the Phoon. (And there still is the Navy Phoon - though with projectiles, not hybrids of course) If anything, the balancing of the last 2 years has been moving strongly away from those sort of setups.

Edit: (And of course, it's 6/6 rather than 8/8.)

Considering how far even Antimatter goes in a Rohk, I am going to have to chalk this up to pilot error. The rats in the next mission over are still in your optimal. Pull some range and enjoy your game of duck hunt.

I was going to say this too. Other hybrid ships have a damage bonus, but take for example the hyperion, it cannot deal damage any where near the ranges that the Rokh can. Once things close in, that is different, but with the Rokh, why fit anything besides antimatter!

I agree, there is more to dps than just what the fitting window says. Taking into account applicable dps, is huge. Your missiles won't ever do full damage. Your eight rails slamming into a cruiser that is trying to close from 70km away, it will just disappear.

To quote Lfod Shi

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

ITS A RAILGUN BOAT. not a missile boat. thats why the raven is there. raven is cheaper too. its a sniper (or a longer range blaster) boat. it was specifically designed to NOT be a missile boat. adding any more launchers would absolutely break it, no matter what you did.

Guess this idea is a goner then.
I'd like to use the rokh as Ive said before, but even as a sniper boat its not my weapon of choice. I'll keep an eye on it, for changes that make it more applicable to my style.

Thanks for the input.
