was about to join fw then i discovered that people just fly 5 days old alts with multiple warp core stabs to farm lp, lol no thanks.

i hope more people do this, hopefully ccp will be forced to fix it instead of ignoring it Big smile

I used to sit at 0 on the cloaky ones so when someone comes in they cant cloak.

I think you can see FW as two things:

1. An almost risk free isk faucet.
2. A way to find lots of targets.

As long as people who view it as 2 stick to playing with other people who view it as 2 it can be lots of fun. And hell you can hop into a dual scram astero and wreck FW farmers ships if you want but its not satisfying.

You used to do what exactly?

Must be too early for me, but my interpretation of what you've written doesn't make any logical sense in terms of game mechanics, nor how farmers select plexes.

if you can't catch cloaky stabbed LP farmers... why are you wasting the time trying?

Don't think this is necessarily the complaint here - these guys get caught just fine a lot of the time, especially since a great many of them seem to be poorly programmed bots. The fact that there is so much botting is however cause for concern, and as Medalyn just mentioned there are other issues with FW as well, which would take a lot more time to cover. Don't ask me what these issues are as I'm no expert on fac war, but I have definitely heard that particular complaint mentioned quite frequently (as one example.)

so report them, get your free kill mail, and move on.

In the end this is of course what you do. And for what it is worth I don't think FW is particularly broken (unless you're expecting militia chat to be useful for organizing actual action, because LOL.) It's just very counterintuitive:

- it's much more fun when your faction is at Tier 1
- there's spies everywhere, WELCOME TO EVE, this actually helps bring fights to disorganized clusterfuck militia fleets
- the PvE/RP/Story part is not correlated at all with the mechanics, WELCOME TO EVE AGAIN

but even with that weirdness it's still a fantastic system for small ship and solo PvP. Its brokenness is highly exaggerated in my opinion. It's only broken if you expect it to be what it was advertised as, and can't appreciate what it turned out to be. I found it a lot of fun.

The reason I said that cleaning up the bots would fix most of what is wrong with FW is basically that I think that the ease of botting and market flooding first inflating and then killing off LP value is probably the primary thing that is actually a broken *game mechanic*. The rest is just emergent gameplay.

I should also point out that there seems to be a large number of bots present that are farming LP. I know that bots exist in a great many parts of this game, but it's getting to be a bit silly. Some will ask "how do I know they are bots, and not simply very vigilant farmers?" because they don't do things normal people would do... like warping back to the same plex after being blown up in it, repeatedly, to be blown up again. A person would move on after dieing the 6th or 7th time in an hour. My prototype cloak collection is growing large though.

Yeah. I killed one today that was armed, but not only didn't fight back, it didn't even try and target me. Dude needs to work on his bot script.

The auto target back should have targeted you by default unless you turn it off.

That's the weird thing. It just sat there, and I don't remember seeing his target lock at all. And it had weapons, too.

It's possible I missed it but i am pretty used to looking for that.

Edit: does the cloak scan recalibration delay affect that? that might have been it, I honestly don't know.
