Grendell runs a pretty interesting Trust Fund idea if you've got some mates you want to look after whilst you're afk. Might be something to look at.

I'm sure he'd talk to you regarding the nitty gritty of it. If I want the ISK I've given him back I need to give him a months notice, but the amount you're talking about dwarfs my own by a factor of 10 so I wouldn't be confident as stating that as canon!

If you don't feel confident about investing in a commodity whose price has been rising fairly steadily for four years, I don't know what to tell you.

Make sure you diversify! It's absolutely critical for any investment strategy not to put all your eggs in one basket, no matter how attractive that basket might be.

Don't listen to this man's sensible advice!

You don't want to invest like some cowardly girl, nobody will respect you!

Invest like a man, put it all into PLEX and experience an instant increase in your manhood!

Hey Jamie,

Thank you for your kind words. Generally speaking most loans do not default. If they do it's usually a pain in the butt to liquidate, no matter the type of collateral. This is because I don't really deal in small loans and numbers, due to the simple fact it's not worth my time.Oops

Regarding your 700b, I'd have to agree with RAW, don't put all your eggs in to one basket even if that basket is me. Truthfully I wouldn't even take a full 700b deposit right now. I would have to take some time to figure out how much I would be willing to take, if you do decide to deposit. Off the top of my head, I'd say I'd only take half. So I would really suggest doing some research and figure out what you could do with the rest. Just make sure it is something that you are comfortable with. Don't forget, no matter what you choose, it will likely take time to liquidate when you are ready to cash out.

If you're really bored you can always fund some large event, that ensures lots of explosions and chaos.Lol

I won't be reachable in-game for a few days, but I do check my eve-mail daily if you have any questions. Good luck with your decision making.

Regards,
Grendell ♥

I personally don't see how loaning money out will help your boredom.

Why are you bored with EvE?
What do you hope to achieve by loaning out your isk?

I might be able to "help" Grendell up that amount by about 200b, if the interest rate is right.

I'd be willing to pick up some slack on that as well. What'd be left between grendell and the above, 150? Would be a bit large, could do 100 easy

You could always fill out collateralized bonds on MD, but I guess that may be too much effort, especially since you'd have to log in every time.

You have two problems.

One, you are bored.
Two, you cannot stand the thought of your ISK being idle.

Simple solution. Cause market chaos somehow, and try to position yourself to profit from it. Even if you do not, at least you'll have fun.

One option would be to try to source at least one Skiff BPO, then contact James 315 and offer him a few billion ISK to focus more than usual on exhumers. If lots of Mackinaws go boom, Skiff demand will increase, possibly resulting in significant capital gains on your investment.

Or, buy into a specific type of currently underused ship, and then try to bribe an alliance FC to use that ship. The FC gets 15b as a payout, and you turn over hundreds of billions worth of ships at a profit.
