Tengu Kin missiles vs other dmg types

How low does the resist on the other ship have to be were it would be better to use non kin ammo to get more dps?

assuming its PVE you need
kinetic for: gurista/serp/angels and EM for drones/sansha/blood

assuming its PVP up to your judgement.

however kinetic is pretty much always tanked.

Personally for PvP I use EM missiles versus all shield tanked ships and gallente t2/3 (exceptions being minmatar t2/3) , kinetic vs the rest. Might not be super optimal all the times but constantly ammo swapping isnt either.

However, use kinetic for Elite Drone Parasites instead of EM. The darn things have EM as their highest resist.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

Imho thermal vs T1 hulls or explosive vs T1/T2 (shield or armor) is pretty nice combo
(Em rig or hardener for shield being common and Explo rigg/hardener being common for armour stuff)

-thermal "seems" the best overall for T1 hulls but it's just in paper and assuming shield/armor resist are trained and that peeps fill the biggest wholes wich are Em for shield and Explosive for armor then all depends a lot of what you face.
Then T2 hulls I'll go straight explosive.

Not sure this is a good idea or not so please feel free to point out my bad idea?

I have a Rook where I load all time Em in the first launcher 2nd and 3rd Kin with 4th Exp and 5th Heat.

Would that be considred a bad idea?

Really not a good idea. That way you make sure to never do full damage.

T1 ship resists are fairly standard for T2 ships however

T2 resist bonus:
Amarr - Explosive
Gallente - Kinetic
Minmatar - EM
Caldari - Thermal

T2 resist holes: (first is the primary hole/second is the next lowest given the pilot plugs the primary hole)
Armour
Amarr - Thermal/EM
Gallente - Explosive/EM
Minmatar - Explosive/Kinetic

Shield
Caldari - EM/Explosive
Minmatar - Kinetic/Explosive
Gallente - EM/Explosive

As an above poster noted, for PVP explosive/em is usually a good combination to carry around with you.
*note I didn't bother with armour caldari or shield amarr...
