as far as shields...hmm. what would suit me best. kite? heater? or maybe something more arabic?

I kinda like the Arabic one. lol

I feel that the shape of the hearter would be best, but yeah, the style / artwork on the arabic one is awesome.

I kind of agree. particularly given the angle. a lot of the detail would be lost. unless he portrayed me as sort of leaning on it in front of me.

Geez this thread moved fast for a sec. I wanted to say about 3 pages back (just read it a few mins ago) that I think when you say "flare" you mean "flair". Also, the fur is a cool idea but I don't see anything wrong with big metal boots. Big metal boots are sexy. And I had an idea for how to let the sword show in-sheath without putting straps over the blade: just have it attach only at the tip and handle. And lastly, this image means you now know the correct aspect ratio of the real deal! :D

no I mean "flare." lol. where fabric or material spreads out over a distance.

like flared jeans.

in the case of the greaves I was looking for the metal to be thin at the ankle and the top of the foot and widening out as it rose to the knee.

Ah I see.

I see an image in my head of boots like that, and they're extremely familiar like I keep seeing them over and over again, but I can't find them when I search. Apparently they aren't in WoW or Diablo II so I'm at a loss as to where I have seen them.

the examples I linked from guild wars a few pages back pretty much show what I had in my head. though there is nothing wrong with your examples. but with the tone the images loco was putting up that guild wars look seemed to lend itself to the images fairly well.

ok i just woke up. roomie's birthday party is today, house is in club mode, i'm impressed with the lighting choices he's made

i will be afk, as i am the DD and will be driving the bus. to hell the city is a stickler for parking after 3AM, so anyone staying after 5 is being shuttled a few blocks that-a-way where street parking doesn't matter...

Eevee i've added some light dots to the chainmail, and draped some over the shoulder. I'm looking forward to darkening the background and getting some more contrast in the pic. those rainbow colors were just me losing my mind

you realize the only way to get a shot of the front of the shield -and- have her hold it would be to put a mirror-like object in the pic, but i can't think of one that makes sense. you should know the plan is to show the back of it... Evil

good morning! looks like it was a fun time. I love a good house party.

I think the mail looks spectacular, loco. really, really good. and, yes, I figured the back of the shield is what we would be working with. which leads me to think the heater shield; best shield for the image. you are doing so great and going to a lot of trouble for this. i'm very appreciative of it. it's come a long way since mid-riff and power armor legs. lol

I can't help but notice that the chain mail makes Eevee's chest look flat... Straight

it compresses the area very effectively. trust me. to be expected with 40 odd pounds of metal, I guess. I posted photographic evidence of the phenomenon earlier lol
