why does the 90 day subscription cost more if I am logged in than If I weren't?
I mean,
if I buy a 90 day sub for my first few months in this game, i makes a commitment of about 30.00 USD for 90 days (30.00$/90d = .34$/d).
now, lets say, I create a sidekick account using the buddy program.
that gets me 21 more days on my sidekick for free! now we have (30.00$/(90d+21d) = .27$/day), about 79% the original price.
after some time, I upgrade my buddy account for 90 days (30.00$ + 30.00$)/(90d + 21d + 90d) = .30$ / day.
once I upgrade my sidekick, my main (this) gets 30 days of game time.
so now we have this big lump of math:
(30.00$ + 30.00$)/(90d + 21d + 90d + 30d)
and that results at a whopping 0.26USD for every day that my account lives. Keep that 0.26USD/day in mind here.

now we can compare this to a regular 90 day subscription. I pay 12.95$ a month, or 38.85$ for 3.
I pay for 2 months.
(38.85$ + 38.85)/(90d+90d) =
0.43USD/day
and once again that number from before is
0.26USD/day

now from this, I can go two ways,
A) pay more money for less time.
B) create an alt, and pay LESS than I would end up paying, more MORE days.

even if you guys charged the original 9.99/month you'd still be making more money than if I'd used the buddy trick.

(29.97$ / 90d) = .33USD / day.

So, I ask why are these flawed prices persisting in your program?

to get that offer you need to have active account and also making buddy for yourself might be considered as an exploit so all your calculations is just theory.

So, as long as the alt is not for " grief-play purposes" and has a decent amount of time on it, It's completely fine according to the terms and conditions

I've made a buddy for myself before as well, but of course you do realise that just 1 subscription is cheaper than upgrading and buying a 2nd subscription right? In your example your total cost will be a lot higher if you create a buddy and upgrade him AND pay the sub on your main, compared to just paying the sub on your main.

If you cancel the sub after 90 days and don't actually pay your main account, you've essentially just paid $30 for a PLEX.
If you cancel it and kept your main account running you've paid $30 (buddy) + $38 sub for the main.

In both situations you've spend more money than only paying your sub on the main, which is $38.

If the promotion worked with a $10 1x month buddy upgrade, it would be much, much nicer but alas. It only starts working with the $30 offer.

Tbh if you're going to create an alt, the buddy system is the easiest way to do it. Not only do you get a nice little PLEX on your main, you get a great price on your upgrade and first few months of game time. When I did it to make this character here, you got the cerebral accelerator with the upgrade too, gives you a nice boost to your initial training. Definitely recommended if you're on the market for an alt.

What amazes me is-that instead of just playing the game, people actually sit around trying desperately to come up with weird stuff as to why CCP hates them.

If you put half as much time into farming a PLEX once a month, you'd be much further off than if you spend wasted hours trying to find reasons for CCP to give you stuff. And as a bonus, you'd be actually logged into the game you are paying for.
