Android App, EVE: Supers Do Die

Aloha,

lately i've been playing with android a bit, and put the result on the android market
(for free offcourse).

this app displays a list of all super capital kills from eve-kill.net.
(it allows to scroll back in time, so just scroll downward it will load the older kills then)

It will not display anything if eve-kill is down.

Next version will have notifications, so you can set your app so it will beep if some supercapital dies.

Sorry it wasn't a true question as I already knew the answer. It was more a of "Hi" combined with a "wow look a famous person!" sort of statement posed as a question. It what us silly Americans do when we encouter a famous person ;-)

for those who dont use the markets auto update feature: you should update manually, it fixes a bug that caused errors when launching / refreshing in a month that did not have kills yet.

i just released 0.8 of EVE: Supers Do Die!
the new version comes with the ability to have a service running that checks
every 15 minutes for new super kills and creates a notification if it finds one.
to enable the notifications, start the app, press your menu key, and then choose
notification service and then start.
atm its fixed setting to check every 15 minutes (future version will have that configureable)
so it wont drain too much of your battery (application should only draw while checking)

obviously you can update through market =)

0.9 is out,
fixes two bugs that might have caused crashes
adjusts connection timeouts so it shouldnt freeze that long anymore
adds settings for the background service so you can set yourself if you want to check every minute/5minutes/10minutes/15 minutes / 1 hour / daily. last is best for battery, first will get you information closer to when they are posted.
