What is the best ship most like a warrior?

I'm coming to EVE from WoW so please use some terminology that I understand if you can. I am interested in pvp and whatever the EVE equivalent to raiding is (I hear incusions are similiar). I want to use all the skills i've gained as a guild main-tank for the last several years. I would like to know what race of ships and particularly what ships are best adapted for tanking as well as how players find random teams or partners to group with for pve and pvp.

Your wow experience will do you no good here. Incursions have basically no pvp and require a fairly established character. Some of the sp between incursions and pvp cross over but you can pvp very successfully but not qualify for incursions . Start with the tutorials so you can begin to understand eve terminology then join a corp that does what you want to do.

wtf is wrong with WoW? It's an awsome game. I'd still be playing it if not for the terrible decision to implement pandas.

To be honest you better get used to it, the Eve community is a bunch of assholes that want your stuff. Some are worse than others and some are more tricksy than others.

I'll just assuming I'm being trolled but here goes anyways: There is no 'tanks' so to speak in Eve, all ships go into either DPS or Logistics (repairs, like healing). Some DPS ships have better attributes for tanking damage but with Eve being based around PvP everyone fits a decent tank anyways unless they are suicide gankers in high sec, then it's all gank and no tank.


EDIT:
I want a Panda cannon for christmas...shoot pandas at people...would be funny as hell!

I heard somewhere that WoW PvP is much like bumper cars...

Eve is more along the lines of a demolition derby. And when you try climbing away from the burning wreckage that was your vehicle, we attempt to hit you once more.

Those that think he's trolling have no concept of what WoW is. If you've never played the game then don't pretend to know what the OP is talking about because well... you don't.

I actually enjoy playing WoW and knowing where he's coming from, I can assure you he's not trolling. He's asking a legitimate question.

To the original poster.... there are no real comparisons between this game and WoW. Also, the people here are dicks. You'll get used to it or probably do what most people do and quit. Look me up. I'll give you a helping hand.

Yes I've played WOW and I know exactly what he's talking about, you obviously missed the point of my reply, it's a common troll, get off your high horse!
