What would happend to the market if i would take my 800 t2 ships and put them up on a 10% lower price than normal but still above the buy orders. (currently the market in a major hub holds about 100 of that specific t2 ship)

Would someone buy the stuff or is it more likely that the item is dropping rapidly in price when others try to cut under.

Dont care much for own profit... more interested in just messing around with the market :)

depedning on the ship it may makea difference.

but 800 is a drop in the ocean normal. not a large enuff number to really make a price difference

if its 10% and close to manufacture price i would not be suprized if somone with a lot of isk backing them just buy them all up from you and relisted to make 5-10%

how do you mean with 800 not being a large enough amount.

currently the market in a major hub have 100ish ships on sell orders and about the same on buy orders.

if i put up 800 in one huge order just above buy order prices and way below sell order prices. wouldent that trigger all others with sell orders to lower their prices undercutting mine.

to buy a batch of 800 ships that goes for around 100mil.
its 80.000.000.000 isk to invest for a very long resell. sure that is not that much isk for some people :D

maybe ill keep saving and wait untill i got more than 800 :p

The market will continue on as before with a hard ceiling on the buy side. Manufacturers profits' will most likely fall to razor thin proportions over time if not dropping a bit below build price due to competition and those seeing the ceiling and what it'll do. The spread will tighten up a little but maintain itself as the sell price falls to adjust for the lower buy price. Business as normal.

This is assuming the item is somewhat popular, the item will be on the market for a while, you don't update your orders and are listing them in Jita. A much different scenario if that's not the case.
