I'm all for scamming and generally being an asshat, but I still have to say that loyalty and dedication on that level is worth more than the paltry sum you got from the con.

At the very least, I would've given him back a third of his stuff back, given him a lecture, and offered him an actual position. But I guess when you're a barrel-trousered Dodixie-camping pauper, you grab whatever you can get, right?

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

Props to one loyal bastard.
If he was really sincere about this you just lost one dedicated pilot.

Sorry lads, that's exactly what I was thinking too.

Distrustful, suspicious, incredulous, anti-social folk are as common as muck in Eve.

Loyal, trusting, eager souls are as rare as rocking horse shitaki. Certainly worth more than a Golem!

Nice to see my thread is drawing the line between folks who can appreciate a good bit of grief,

And people who think that inexperienced and naive pilots are a rare breed in eve.

Even the worst griefers in the game draw a line somewhere, otherwise they'd be flying alone. You're the one showing his ass by demonstrating that no matter how loyal someone is to you, there is no point at which you reciprocate.

If I were in your corp right now I'd be reconsidering whether you're someone I should give MY loyalty to.

I would never trust a pilot who puts his own trust so fully into someone else.
I wouldn't feel secure intel-wise, or combat wise, so no. not a good recruit.

good recruit for those looking to take someone on and give them experience perhaps.
but NA looks to take on already experienced pilots. pilots experienced enough to know that if something sounds fishy, it usually is.

So, joining your corp sounds fishy? At least we agree on that....

If I ask to hold your wallet, and tell you to jump off a bridge, and you do so, does that make you loyal or gullible?
we have no need for a young bragging missioner in our corp, call me a bastard but I don't pass up on that kind of opportunity to make a quick buck.

At issue is not his behavior, but yours. If you'll screw over a guy who showed as much heart as this guy did, you'll do it to anyone (and rationalize it by telling yourself they're a chump and you're entitled to a buck).

If I flew with you, this would make me wonder when it was my turn. You gotta be able to trust those you fly with, and you've made it clear that anyone who trusts you is a chump.

Everyone has been around a smart @ss, young pilot who has a shiny, big ship and thinks they know it all. I too have sent our noobs out to 0.0 to find our "most expensive" pos, if they are obnoxious, too curious, or seem to appreciate a good prank. I didnt even get a golem out of it. And if Im not mistaken, a few months ago it was arms across new eden for some dips*it who got ganked in a mach by his own corp for not listening to them on how to take care of it. If the kid was willing to fly out that far in a caracal, it was only a matter of time before he lost the golem. These cats just cut out the middle man. Same with the mach pilot.
If anything, hed be worth keeping around for his abundance of luck....... Meh, not everyone can appreciate a Bastard, but I can. Cheers.

If you were intelligent, you would be loyal to the fun provided by the corp, but you wouldn't hand over all of your most valuable assets to it. Why would you move your Golem at all? Its a missioning ship, not designed for anything else. If they wanted to see it, they could have come to where it is to see it.

I am interested in the name of the young padawan.

Though the story is good, there are no tears.

Retribution for this act may fill the emptiness this thread shows.

Everyone knows the tears of the 'Pro' are so much sweeter Twisted

Hope his determination for revenge is as strong, then we have a story :)
