I feel that the Noctis kinda lost some of its glory and could use some love.
Now that we have Mobile Tractor Units and Salvage drones that are cheap and don't require a designated ship, what do you think could make it more relevant ?

A few Ideas :

  • Increase in agility/speed and/or tank
  • Even more Increase in beam range/speed
  • A siege module that would automate the use of the tractor beams or salvagers0 Like turn the ship into a MTU with multiple beams
  • Make it cheaper

the cheaper maybe, the tractor speed yes, the siege no, and the agility/speed/tank meh.

I'd be happy with faster warp speed and a bit better agility, to be honest.

EVE is what happens when the rule of law does not apply and Darwinism is allowed to run freely.

The MTU in a sleeper site allows us to dedicate the noctis solely to salvaging. The drones don't even compare. Other than a salvage boost and/or a dedicated bay for salvage parts, don't really see a need for a change.

Dedicated bay for salvage sould like a nice upgrade, keeps it all nice an tidy :D

Bit more tank, or more slots to fit tank would also be handy. Easier to keep alive = more chance that people bring it to hostile places (NPC or player hostiles)

The noctis is perfectly fine as is. Salvage drones and an MTU are terribad by comparison.

MTU is far from terribad, its not like you sit there and wait for the next wreck to come in while you shoot stuff.
Drop MTU, clear the pocket, move to next and drop a new MTU, after close to 2hours you warp back to the first one with a Noctis for salvage/picking loot (and to the next one after that ofc)
