Improve in-game Calendar

I'd love to see the in-game Calendar improved a little in usability. Here's a few thoughts to it if Team "little things" gets some budget for it.

Current Situation
It's barely used because we have to create the event, and also send a mail that tells people the same info again but also refering to the event in the calendar because I can't seem to link it anywhere.

  • Corp / Alliance events are rarly posted on the calendar as people don't seem to find it or recognize it.
  • Invited Pilots rarely accept/decline, as they don't receive an notification or don't bother to open the event.
  • MOTD, mails, or generally "Text" is used to invite to events instead of Calendar
  • Inter Corporation / Alliance (Coalition or Joint Operations) Invitations can't be done easely. Only per single invite of every pilot.

Suggested Changes
It would help the organizing people a lot, if they could do certain steps a lot more straight forward. Also the pilots who get invited would be better informed instead of checking other areas for event information (mail, motd, bulletings, ...)

  • Linkable Calendar Events so People can share it
  • Additional Invitation Options (Public: who gets the link can add it to his calendar, more similar like allowed lists for channel)
  • Possibility to auto. send notification to Invited pilots with link to event or (Yes/No/Maybe)-like workflow
  • Calendar / Time Trayicon could receive a bit more attention (how many people know there is a calendar?)
  • Drag and Drop option to reschedule events?
  • Copy Paste option to plan repetive events?

I get it, it's not the most important thing for our serious spaceship business - however, i believe it would greatly improve how corps, alliances, coalitions and player run events are shared. Therefor interconnecting the community of new eden maybe a bit more.

Of course, the possibility to blow up jita or stargates is more important.

Why not just allow it to sync with current external software like google calander, that way people can stay in touch with whats going on in eve outside of eve. On that same note why don't they setup eve mail like every other email server in the world so we can get access to it through our smartphone or set it up in our outlook.
