I recently had a drive go bad on the EveWho server and the RAID didn't do its job. If it wasn't for backups everything would have been lost!

The history table is HUGE, and in the interest of getting the site up quickly I skipped re-importing that table. The website rebuilds that table on the fly, anyhow, and it takes less than a week to do so.

Also, I've since switched EveWho to a new server with SSD drives - so if you thought it was already fast its even faster now.

Enjoy!

Holy crap man, thanks for putting all these resources into this. To run a server like that with no income from ads or anything is no small cost. That must be a lot of money out-of-pocket you're dumping into this. When I created EVE-Intelligence years ago (released a couple months before you did EveWho, did the same thing) I charged a bit of ISK for it so I could at least play the game for free to offset the server cost, but this is a great service to see now.

This is not the signature you're looking for.

So as to reduce hits to the site and hopefully do one json call, do you support multiple corp requests in one url request on the API?
I tried a couple variations such as:
http://evewho.com/api.php?type=corporation&id=1018389948+1000009
or with a comma, space or multiple ID fields. Is this a feature that is not supported?

Nope, not at this time. One corp per call

This information is pulled from CCP's API. If you aren't displayed it is because the API isn't including you... sorry, nothing I can do about that...

Plenty of people have no issues accessing it, stop being a tool and use your tool properly! :)

And can confirm it works from my work machine, so its something to do with my ISP ... any idea what it might be?

Have to note how good this tool is, the API is fine save for one oddity I have noticed.

The ordering of characters is different from those in Eve. Eve ignores case - look at a large station list. It would be nice to have this when pulling or viewing on the website.

Obviously I can pull 200 chars from the API and order them myself, but the next 200 are ordered 'non-eve' ... so it gets a bit desynced.

I'm not going to make any changes on how things are sorted, sorry...

So I have never used evewho before, and I went there, and looked at my page, and there were a bunch of comments on my page saying I was an awoxer and an alt. All lies. So I called those people cunts, and said I would camp them for a year. And then after posting those comments I realized, there are NO COMMENTS PERTAINING TO MY CHARACTER on my comments page. the comments that are there are 'random comments from other places on the site, put into the area where your comments are supposed to be." When im reading comments about me, there shouldnt be other random comments that pertain to nothing about me, at all, on my page, in the spot where comments about me WOULD be. ******* retards you dont ******* put things that LOOK like each other but ARE NOT ******* RELATED, next to each other. MOVE THE STUPID ASS RANDOM COMMENTS THAT ARENT ABOUT OUR CHARACTERS FROM THE SPOT WHERE COMMENTS ABOUT OUR CHARACTER WOULD BE, WTF??? I fuckin clicked on 'comments' and there were some comments there, but not about me, and THAT is ******* STUPID.

That's what it looks like when a page has no comments. Everything below the "Also on EveWho" is related to comments on other pages that may or may not be related to the page you are looking at. Showing brief content from other pages is a standard of many websites today.
