The station in question for me was a Gallente Federation Assembly Plant.

I have got to say, it was a Gallente Federation station I also had a Flicker freeze at. I'm unsure if it was an Assembly Plant.

Maybe Gallente hates us mac users now so they make our computers flicker freeze? Maybe it's only occuring at Gallente stations, but it's difficult to reproduce it now since it's rare these freezes compared to before.

Minor break through!

I have been stuck in the same place (warping into a station) for the past few days. I thought it might be the graphics of the station crashing my game.

I opened the star map upon login and my character successfully warped to the station and did not crash (perhaps because the graphics never loaded to my screen) and I was able to dock up.

For anyone experiencing something similar, try using your star map as a sort of Perseusian anti-Medusa.

I've been having the same issue. Just tried undocking tonight and 10 seconds after undocking my screen froze. However, on re-opening the program opening star map on login allowed me to dock.

My setup:
Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB
Software OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)

Prior to this fix I was unable to login at the character screen, which I am now able to do. Eve has been unplayable for me for nearly the entire month of February.

Progress of some sort then? I've been stuck outside Dodixie Fed Navy Assembly Plant for three days now. Gonna give the star map sketch a go. But honestly, is this what it's come down to....? Please CCP, do something about this, it's gone past ridiculous now!

Petition CCP under the 'stuck' category and explain that a bug is causing you to crash there. CCP should be able to move you to another station of a different type within the next hour or so since it's a high priority category.

Well what do ya know!!!! This actually worked, inferring of course that this is a coding issue of some kind when we are in specific environments in the Eve Universe. CCP, please take note and act .

Note to self: Never warp to a Federation Navy Assembly plant.

Yes it's the cause to this flicker freezing now. I haven't experienced it elsewhere and so it seems no one else has.

Does this happen on any Assembly Plant? Or just some specific ones?

It happened to me in Stacmon. I haven't gone near any others yet.

It's any station that's got the model Gallente station 5 ( I can't remember if the type shows up in the overview as Gallente station 5, or Gallente Industrial station ).

You can crash at any one of them when it first gets loaded / comes into view - tested that in various systems.

Glad I can access this thread again, it had disappeared from the Macintosh section for awhile. I see that other threads are still missing.

I still cannot play EVE. The client continues to freeze and lock up. I have yet to see any progress whatsoever.

Day 16 or 18 for me. I'm losing track of how long.

Looks like the new patch has caused even more problems for some people. Nice.

This is a pay to play game, and it would only be right to compensate the individuals who lost a considerable amount of time due to this glitch.

Personally, I was unable to play from the 4th to the 18th. All I'm asking for is the choice between ISK/PLEX, or 14 days worth of instant skilling.

If that's asking too much, please tell me. However, we all pay to play EvE, and compensating the players with something on par with what was lost is only right.

I would choose the 14 days of instant skilling; time means more to me than ISK/PLEX.

Before anyone starts demanding repayment: How can CCP determine, beyond any reasonable doubt, that you could not in fact log in, and are not just someone who happened to be on vacation for the period in question and is taking advantage of free SP or PLEX by lying?

After all only a few Mac users were affected. No Mac at CCP was. I was not. So they cannot just blanket give credit to everyone. How do they determine who is a valid recipient?

Determining who was effected, and who is simply trying to get some free stuff is unbelievably easy to determine. One of many things CCP can do is check the login times, and the activity of the players who reported a problem. Also, I filed one of maybe 2 bug reports since I've been playing EvE, and the report was filed the day of the flickering glitch.

Furthermore, I PAY to play this game. I don't make enough ISK to play for free. Second, I'm not demanding anything... I'm making a suggestion. So, stop your brown nosing, stop trolling, and make sure you read the entire thread before you call someone a liar...

But what about some one who did have the problem, but is simply not a forum poster? They could not log in, but never reported it as an issue. How would they get their credit? And how would CCP tell them apart form someone who was just on vacation and decided to take advantage when the announcement went out? Their log in history would look identical: neither logged in during the time in question.

To be fair CCP would need to give credit to everyone who had the issue, irrelevant of if they posted in the forums or make a bug report. How do they figure out who to give it to?

Just wanted to chime in and say that I'm also stuck outside a Fed Navy Assembly Plant, specifically the one in Dodixie. I get the same crazy graphical flashes and then everything freezes up. I was really hoping that the Mac client would be stable for more than a couple of days. I've only been able to log in since Tuesday.

Sigh - we're not able to repro this on our machines. We are paying attention to this - please file bug reports with detailed info, attaching logs if you can.

As soon as you log in hit F10 to open your starmap. This should let you get away from the station without freezing. It's worked for me and at least one other player in this thread.
