Receipts? Ha, you're more Caldari than you know Mr Ronin.
As a general rule I ignore traitors of every stripe here on the IGS they are trolls better left unfed. My mistake was not following my own guidelines.

Erica despite your deleted expletive in response my questioning how the traitor ended up in a Federation institution of higher education I'll assume your word is good until I have proof otherwise. In retrospect you maybe should have put the traitor in therapy and gotten a better outcome for your isk investment.

I am failing to see where you are getting this notion of her as a traitor. Does leaving the Federation make someone a traitor, to you?

Against my better judgment, I have to ask what makes her a 'traitor'.

I'm very familiar with your people's penchant for fraternizing ... Temba. Will you be asking me out for a spiced wine next? I guess that's one way of promoting the peace process at least.

Anyway ... Candi is no traitor sir. To call her one is not only horribly narrow minded and inaccurate, but insulting even to the ears of an Achuran. So please stop doing so.

As a Federation citizen, I walk away from this with the following understandings from our "patriot" speaker...

"If I don't endorse it, it's not the right kind of freedom."
"If you don't think as I do, you're deluded."
"My experience in your lifestyle exceeds your own."
"If a child accepts kindness that didn't come from an endorsed source, they're a traitor. Starving is preferable."
"International education, even from a Federation source renowned outside of the Federation, is impossible."
"Wanting to make choices on your own terms, rather than mine, is wrong."
"I will convince you to change your errant ways by killing your countrymen."

Thats all the breath I care to waste on such an obvious hypocrite. Now go forth and sacrifice your own brethren in the name of upholding your own interpretation of everyone else's ideals. And never forget... You don't decide what anyone thinks of whatever drivel you spout, oh Federal patriot.

Mr. Ronin and Mr. Liberta, I honestly believe that both of you are wrong in your position regarding Ms. LeMew's life experience. I would not call her a traitor, she seems to have been moved by what life presented her. In this case I must unfortunately agree that as a society the Federation failed her. Such details, however are better left to those who deal in domestic politics.

In light of that we must aspire to defend the Federation and the freedom which our nation stands for. We must set an example for all even if others may see it as being in vain.

Ms. (Major) Dusette, Despite our own obvious differences I sincerely apologize for the hostility of both Mr. Ronin and Mr. Liberta towards Lady LeMew.

While I cannot speak for Mr. Ronin, I for one would certainly consider asking you out for a spiced wine. Even knowing that it may also come at the cost of a new clone.

I personally rather think that such casual use of the term 'slave' is insuling to those who actually are so and wish for freedom, or to those who were once so and have since escaped it. Valuing freedom includes empathy for those who have none, and not minimizing their state of affairs.

That doesn't have any bearing on the discussion, though.

Scherezad-haani, the notion of implying that there is slavery or slaves in the State, is simply gallentean propaganda. Gallenteans teach people about these lies and hammer it into their heads so hard, that only death could release them.

Look for example at this Noden Vorpalstar, who can't even browse laws of the State and see for himself, that slavery is prohibited in the State. Or even feel it on his own skin, if he would dare bring his slaves into Caldari territory.

But no, he prefers to revel in his ignorance.
What is worse, that it is not him alone, but majority of gallenteans.
And this is why the Federation must be destroyed.

Tibus Heth was the most prominent of all Caldari born in our age.
Gallenteans with their tiny jaijii brains will never understand his greatness, gallenteans never respect other cultures...

Remember, insulting Tibus Heth is the most ignorant and disrespectful offence someone could make against Caldari.

Thank you Mr Vorpalstar, and others, for your supportive words regarding Candi. It's induced a 'partial' smile on her face for the first time this morning.

There is no need to apologize on behalf of the others, Mr Vorpalstar. Our people are at war, our capsuleers losing ships and valued clones every minute of every day as both sides push to secure territories. What are some harsh words compared to this carnage we enjoy? So aye, no apology needed, but it's appreciated nonetheless. All I wanted was for Mr Ronin to cut out his "traitor" nonsense. Candi was never a Federal soldier and had no choice in her birthplace and upbringing, or lack-thereof.

Weeellllll ... I don't think taking me out would be the best career move for an aspiring young Federal pilot. While I've never murdered a date yet (but I did come close this one time) I've a feeling your biggest worry would be execution by your own superiors afterward. In any event it's ... very flattering ... if a little unsettling, that I may be as appealing to some of the enemy pilots as I am to those in the State who pin my posters in their galley. So thank you ... I think?

Don't let her scare you off, Noden. Some of the best fun I had was dating an FDU pilot - so long as you don't let it interfere with the way you perform your duties, you should be able to laugh off any comments.

Well, kid, seems like you might not be completely without a mind of your own... And an idea of where the line is between patriotism and malice, unlike ol Ronin there.

A little advice from someone whose spent a big part of their life in combat; don't get so lost in the cause that you stop seeing the toll it takes on you and everyone around you. It can sneak up on you in a big way. Get out and about a bit, see things from the other side if you can. I did, and it put a lot in perspective.

Uhhhffff. Commander Tuulinen ... please.

While it's nice that my cheeks are blush-pink right now instead of angry-red I don't think you should encourage the young pilot. It wouldn't be a good career move for either himself or me.

I'm sorry if Candi's comments earlier stirred up some emotional sentiment, but now that's settled everyone can go back to debating politics, philosophy and history now if they like ....

Listen to you all squabbling. Over what? This kid? His enthusiasm? This war? Imbecils. I'm tired of it. All this patriotic garbage for the Federation.

Go ahead, friend and recruit as many eager heroes as you can. Rush out a million light years to nowhere relevant, where the Federation is actively engaged in being "committed" and "steadfast." That's what we keep hearing on the feeds right? Get yourself killed there while you're at it and make it worth the trip.

This war is a farce. That isn't to say I'm not in support of it. This conflict however should be so much more. The only thing that the Federation is currently engaged in now is playing political baby games in the less frequented region called "Where Is This on the Map?"

Listen to me. If the Federation was serious about its involvement this conflict, then it would have taken the might of our navy to the doorstep of the Caldari and refreshed their memories about how we charred that rock in Luminaire. Instead of trenches though, they're entrenched in bureaucracy and propaganda. The Senate can't find the time to direct our efforts with all the media appearances and grandstanding speeches they're giving. In fact, I think you can officially say Gardieu is on tour.

But I digress. Please resume this protracted yawn about who's right and who's wrong

Irony...

To barge in on a thread where someone is flaunting the Might of the Federation...
Condemn both sides.
Then sit there and pontificate about how this could have been solved...
By the Might of the Federation.
You're a Senator, aren't you... I mean, you're grandstanding in a media outlet, giving a speech thats come and gone a hundred times already, and will do so a hundred times again, and offering nothing of substance along with the distraction.
Priceless!
