I'm really glad you like it. relieved, even. I know you were partial to fallout initially, but I didn't like the bulky look of power armor ...! the underworld feel has more potential for sexy and a form fitting look.

I'm looking forward to the practice of doing shiny black metal, I think it will turn out very nice.

before i do that i have to make sure the shapes are right. I'm going for a LoTR ring wraith look, with mostly-black polished metal, possibly polished red pieces and/or polished gunmetal pieces, with gold trim .

that I should worry about losing my hearing is nonsense, because there will always be -=BASS=-

red and gold works, it's pretty easy to adjust the colors of layers later on.

some armor color idea things

lol Sibyyl. do you like shirow? I'm a big fan. at this point I'll have to say "stick around Blink"

Pandoraslave, this started off as a calendar, but that timeline's been broken for a while now. what I'm doing instead is following the order, but without a specific timeline.

Eevee. an update.

the armor isn't completely rendered/drawn yet... this is a stopping point for me, and I need to meditate on the image for a while.

I've never rendered shiny metal before... there's still a lot of light to add. this is quite outside my normal range, but that's a good thing and i'm excited.

you want to have all my brutor babies. it's ok, you can tell me.

that I should worry about losing my hearing is nonsense, because there will always be -=BASS=-

I'm no expert on adding shine but I do have a tip to share. When we look at reflective objects, our minds have a tendency to ignore the reflected and distorted images in them and think of it as generic reflection garbage. To draw it properly, you should consider how funny mirrors work. Study how the curvature of the mirror affects the image. Then once you have figured out where the lights are, smack that sort of distorted reflection on the armor, matte it down a bit to look more like metal rather than an actual mirror, and finally, make sure the metal's color shines through.

If you do that right, it wont matter if there's a giant distorted penís in the reflection; nobody will notice but the armor would look amazingly shiny!

hey, me neither! and that's exactly what I was thinking~ I was going to start by adding the reflection of her arm on her boob and ribcage sections. and the hip plates. being out of practice, I just wasn't ready to jump into reflections just yet. plus I have to finish the arm portions first.

thanks for the tip, Reaver. I appreciate'cha

cool thing about the reflections is they don't have to be high quality. Make them in medium quality, then scuff them out a bit before you shine them. You're not trying to fool a person's focused center of vision, but rather the blurrier bits around it.

I like most of the design but ill make a couple of suggestions. Especially since its early. I'd probably prefer a mostly black look with the red gold highlights. Maybe like a dark cherry sunburst type coloration. I also suggest just one pauldron. The left shoulder. The only actual part I don't like is the gorget type neck thing sticking up off the chest piece. Other than that I believe you have done a hell of a job so far. When it's done I would be proud to add it to my aquatic art. lol
