Dynamic Concord Timers

Currently, Concord response times vary based on a system's Security Status. The lower the system's security, the quicker they arrive. In 0.5, there response time is 14 + 6s, where as in a 1.0, the response time is much closer to immediate.

Frankly, this is a dystopia, so shouldn't the Police response vary based on your status in society too?

Attack someone affluent, and the police will be there quickly.
Attack some every-day citizen, and the police will finish their donuts before responding.

So let's put this into a game mechanic?
Let every corp have a security rating based on the average security status of all its members (just like we have corp standings to NPC Corps).

Then, all victims should have a concord response prioritization, based on this security status:
If your corps security rating is:

< -5: Concord considers your corp a hardcore criminal gang, and if you are being attacked believe it is hardcore gangland violence, and simply do not want to get involved. Eventually they come to clean up the bodies, but you get the lowest prioritization. If you are attacked, Quadruple concord's response time to "save" your ship. (56 + 6s in a 0.5 system)

< -1: Concord considers your corp a small-time criminal gang, and if you are being attacked treat it as criminals attacking criminals, and honestly don't care. They will show up after a second donut, but you don't get much prioritization. If you are attacked, Double concord's response time to "save" your ship. (28 + 6s in a 0.5 system)

< +1: Concord considers you a neutral. You're like the corner vendors selling pirated DvD's or pushing bags of weed. They show up when called, but not still somewhat slowly. A +50% increase in concord response times to save your ship. (21 + 6s in a 0.5 system)

< +3: Concord considers you a valuable citizen, and arrives as timely as they can. Normal Concord Response times. (14 + 6s in a 0.5 System)

> +3: Concord considers you esteemed citizens, and work extra hard to keep you safe. As such, Concord Response times are improved by 50% (7 + 6s in a 0.5 system).

Last, but not least, if you are in an NPC corp, concord considers you a homeless citizen, and treats you accordingly. Double concord's response times while in an NPC Corp.

Why implement this:

1.) It gives a benefit / con to having a corp full of low-sec status players. Increases concord response times makes you easier to suicide gank.

2.) It encourages players to leave NPC corps. While in the NPC corp, you are invulnerable to wardecs, but more vulnerable to suicide ganking.

3.) It adds some variation to suicide ganking for profit. The suicide gankers need to account for the changes in concord response times. Those NPC corp freighters are easier to gank, but if they are in a player corp it may be much more difficult to gank or much easier.

people with low security stats generally don't care how fast concord comes to save them because they aren't the ones being ganked. Furthermore, they're currently shootable anyway with no concord response... so... yeah.

the vast majority of people have 5.0 sec status anyway if they do the majority of their pvp in null or w-space, or through wardecs.

It seems like you wanted to make a change without really having any particular goal in place for what it was supposed to achieve.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

I know. At the end of the day, this simply encourages miners, freighter, and missioners to be in player corps, as it improves their survival rate against suicide gankers. This potentially opens them up to AWOXing, Corp theft, and wardecs in exchange.

Another way to encourage players to be in a corp is to extend the tax (both NPC and Corp) to refining amounts, and market orders.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

I fully support extending corp taxes (both NPC and Player corps) to cover refining, market orders, and LP rewards. I think that would be an extremely healthy change. It has also been suggested many times.

it should be vice versa!

The lower your sec status, the faster should Concord respond to your offense!

But what about changing the response time but NOT the average time?

in 0.5 responding within 01-45 seconds
the average time is the same, but there is a chance to be saved or police will never show till you have been podded.

Like in reallity, either police entered the donut shop a few seconds ago or they are standing behind the next tree :D

well, there are no benefit for have high sec status, this is just one idea from OP for have benefit of high sec status.

plus he said it is corp status, not players

and it will increase more ganks in miners because I don't think most of high sec miner have >+1 sec status.

and for taxes part, it won't work

Miner will stay in npc corp because it provide absolute protection against wardeccer

OP's idea in other hand will make it easier to murder miner/missioner who try to hide in npc corp.

I think tax should be for LP, this would really help FW Corps pay for SRP too

FW, Incursionsers, and Mission Runners make massive amounts of income via LPs.

I'd like to see something to make security status more relavent. This is a start, but it involves so much math that it seems kinda irrelevent to newer players. Though, it would benefit them behind the scenes.

Yeah, LP can be good income I tend to blow mine on faction ships, mods, and implants to replace the ones I lose on alts.
