The Launcher does nothing after Rubicon 1.2 patch. It starts up but the bottom progress bar does absolutely nothing. It just sits there with the following info on the left of the bar...

(1/4): VALIDATING CLIENT: 0.0%


and thats all it does...just sits there doing nothing. No updating, no validating, no nothing. I have let it sit for 20 min and still nothing. I have gone into settings, cleared the cache...nothing, I have run the repair tool multiple times and it fails every time with the following text:

error: unpack requires a string argument of length 4

I dont know what else to do guys....please give me a way to fix this issue so the launcher updates properly and I can play what I have paid for. This was playing just fine until Downtime and the patch today.

This is what I am using and have been using since 2008. My system is not the problem.

I am beginning to think that MAYBE it corrupted a file when it tried to verify or dload the patch..I dont know. What i would like to know is what files I can delete so it will redload them and start working again...if thats even possible. Like I said, Eve has been trouble free for me until this patch, so I have no reason to suspect my system and can only conclude that it is something the launcher has done..whatever that may be. If you need logs or files to look at, then say so and i will provide them.

Well i'll be damned...my system was the problem....TY so much Orlacc...I updated a spybot software that reset some of my settings yesterday to defaults cause of the new version...sigh...figures...but your comment made me go take a look at something i have never had an issue with until now. After settings things back to where they normally are the launcher is working fine again....:)..how bout that...again...TY Orlacc

Impressive work getting that hardware together in 2008 several years before any of it was released.

Me did not have any problems after the patch.

I have an AMD system and had no errors pop up yay for AMD
