I define tears as any negative reaction to an aggressor who caused you to loose. This typically eggs on said aggressor into trying to get MOAR tears...with me so far?

So one of my guys was belt ratting in lowsec hoping to find a fight in a dessy. While engaging an NPC another dude in equal ship strength (but much younger toon) dropped in on him while his shields were at 50% and took him out.

Aggressor says GF
Looser (my guy) says "Meh, maybe if you didn't have help from npc's" or something like that...so a silly argument over whether it was a GF ensued. Next thing ya know the aggressor is in our pub channel saying hey whats up and happily gloating (but not being abusive) about the 'GF' lolz. And yes that's fine - but he was jumped on by two of my dudes who continued to express tears. I did not kick the aggressor out of our channel because, well...not only did he score a good kill he was getting tears fair and square...

So next day, we are wardecced. Ok so no problem...they picked the wrong corp to wardec...we are winning with no losses so far. BUT before the war started I had to tell said looser who wanted to go into their home system and trashtalk "No, dont talk to them, thats what they want, just dont say anything. Your giving them tears." And he was like 'no its not tears', so I gave him the above definition of tears, and he says 'OH! Thats what you mean?"
This is a two year old toon!!

Later I brought in an FC other than myself to help out, someone I know and trust enough. Said scrub with tears (a director) got his ego hurt and argued on comes with FC when I wasnt there...new FC apologizes (or tried to), scrub (again who is a director) says to **** off.

Scrub director is no longer with us...MY GOD how many people will destroy relationships with others because their ego gets stomped on? When, all that had to be done from the beginning is respond with 'GF :)' OR nothing at all.

Said director ALSO tried to be 'vp' of the corp. Directors total loss in isk since with the corp on killboard? 4.06 BILLION...thats right...
Now there is some dispute about who is wrong and who is right about all this. BUT yeah, eve is a predatory place and you have to be prepared for anything, and sometimes those preparations mean booting out people who really liked for the good of the group itself. :(

However all that being said - a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Posting because this deserves to be shared.
