On topic. Really though, spammers might not be adding to load but the server is capped based on number of pilots in the system no ? Kick them out.

or let me have my stuff transported to adjacent system by npc transport.

We get a thread like this after every weekend. Maybe move your stuff out of Jita during the week when there aren't 2175 people in there and another 500-1000 trying to get in.

this is the part of the show where we point out that the size of the tv doesn't matter, the resolution does. welcome to 2005 or so. in other words, the iPhone 5 has more pixels than your tv does, by a long shot.

This whole thing could have been avoided by simply not going to Jita.

Excuse me but I am not a one day old char merely going there to hang and post spam scams all day. I need to use that system for proper eve stuff.

When I want to pop in to collect and item, why the hell should WE have to sit there for 20 mins in a high sec blobbing repeatedly clicking jump just because 1000 1 day old players are allow to stay indefinitely just to spam all their dirty scams.

More over, why should I have to fly else where and pay more for the same stuff ?

The legit and innocent player who is using the system for what it was intended ( a trade hub) are being penalised because of these afk idiot spammers.

And again, who cares that are not adding to server load. they are adding numbers towards the player cap!

You know that the local-scammers don't really take up any slots that you'd be able to use, right? The server cap is calculated with them in mind. If they were to be kicked out, the cap would be lowered by pretty much the same amount and you'd still not get in.

Not that you'd need to get in (much less wait 20 minutes) to do “proper EVE stuff”.

That's pretty rich coming from someone with your sig. And yes, you still have to say more. The only thing that's pathetic about your image is the amount of people sitting around without having to do so. Oh, and possibly the size, but others have covered that already…

I don't care what you say. If the server is saying full at 2200 players and 1000 of them are spammers. Kick them out to adjacent system and the real players enter.

Make jita a Univeral or Faction wide channel.

…what will happen is that the server will say it is full at 1200 players, and you'd still not get in. The poplock is determined by node load. The spammers don't add to that load. They're not taking up any slots you could use (unless you're a spammer yourself).

You can not care about the reality all you like, but that just makes you uninformed and your complaint silly and ignorant.

I get that you're upset but being rude and crass to the community is never going to win you any points and people will just troll you because they get off on watching you rage.

There are skills associated with Trade that can enable you to manage your buy and sell orders from remote locations within the same region. If you move your stuff into system during off-peak times and use those skills to manage your market transactions you never have to go to Jita proper during peak times.

Like it or not, scamming is a legitimate profession in Eve. Like it or not, the 1 day old character has paid a subscription or paid for a PLEX - both of which are $$ for Iceland. Right or wrong, they have as much right to be there as anyone else.

(unless we are talking about Jita is SC...then do Jita. But for all intents and purposes, when it comes to Eve Online, just don't do Jita. If you are a modern day flagellant, go ahead and do Jita, but don't complain because you are doing it to yourself.)
