Are salvage drones still broken?

I've seen a few threads about the issue of salvage drones stopping salvaging after the first targeted wreck but I'm not sure if this is supposed to have been fixed in a recent patch.

For me this is still the case. The patch notes don't say anything about this as far as I can see.

Does anyone know what's going on with it?

They'll only salvage a single wreck if and only if you have it locked, selected and within drone control range.

If you either have nothing locked or a non-wreck entity locked and selected WITHIN DRONE CONTROL RANGE (like an hostile ship or can), they proceed to salvage all wrecks in order, from closest to farthest.

EVE is what happens when the rule of law does not apply and Darwinism is allowed to run freely.

Ok. Thanks for that.

It's kind of awkward with my Noctis as I'm constantly clicking away on wrecks to tractor. What happens now is I'm pretty much using the drones like an extra salvager which I then have to activate on each wreck. It works but I was hoping I could just let them fly off and start with the nearest wrecks while I tractor in the furthest.

What I do:

  • warp in with the noctis
  • launch drones
  • set drones to salvage (they will go out and salvage all wrecks in range)
  • target ferthest away wreck and start tracktoring in (the drones will go about their own bzness now and not notice my targeted wrecks)
  • work my way to the nearest wrecks

There is no easy way.

When you are already salvaging and realize to late that you did miss the whole drone part just wait till there is a can, target it and tell your drones to salvage it, it should trigger the "Salvage everything within dronerange" command.
