The Scope has reported a significant movement of a Jove fleet from the Polaris star system.

Faced with apparently hostile intentions of the Jove fleet, CONCORD calls on all voluntary Capsulers to stand ready to intervene in case of a combat.

Can you post the appropriate links to the Scope news feed?

Darkness is more then absence of light, it is ignorance and corruption. I will be the Bulwark from such things that you may live in the light. Pray so my arms do not grow weary and my footing remain sure.

If you are brave, join me in the dark.

I would just like to clarify that there is no verifiable intelligence suggesting that this is a Jovian fleet.

I would also like to clarify that no direct CONCORD announcements have been recieved on usal fluid routers or the IGS since the Scope announcement. I.e. there has been no "call to battle" as of yet.

We have however had some intel from sources, which can be found here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=36680&p=3

The announcement can be found here: http://www.eveonline.com/news.asp?a=single&nid=4799&tid=1

I'd appreciate it if someone foolish enough could keep tabs on them and forward it to a live feed for us.

This doesn't really add up.

So was this really a Jovian act of war against the rest of the cluster or just malcontents going on a murder spree and recklessly endangering their crew?

Polaris is not a Jove system. Some mysterious entity identified by the cryptic letters "CCP" is apparently resident there, if neocomm data can be trusted... which is always suspect, of course. The Scope appears to confirm this, however.

It's obviously a joint Sansha-Sleeper (cleverly masked as this entity "CCP" in our NeoComs) operation fueled by funds from the Jove. Furthermore, these funds are obviously laundered through CONCORD. The resulting flow of ISK through CONCORD is then explained away by Gutter Press, which clearly is an InterBus organization in disguise. I mean, how did you guys not see all of this?

The rumor mill's very finest in action. In less than 24 hours credible news reporting of a CONCORD fleet, on training maneuvers, has been transformed into a hostile Jove fleet. Well done in responding effectively to these rumors, Mr. Makari.

The way I see it is that this event is nothing more than a Concord training exercise whose goal is to enlighten the concord pilots on the combat techniques deployed by those who live outside their authority. The training exercise places the polaris commanders and high-ranking officers in ships commonly used by capsuleers to take to the field and further expand their knowledge of capsuleer battle strategies.

By using standard technologies rather than the restricted Polaris or Jovian vessels(If they have access to such things), CCP is able to prevent a Jovian intervention should any of their jointly-developed Polaris vessels be destroyed and the tech salvageable by those agents not authorized by the Jove to gain the technology.

I feel this training exercise will be exploited by capsuleers to amuse themselves, and perhaps even pay-back some old grudges against CCP, and to test their battle skills against the equipment and skills of CCP/Polaris.

In my opinion the major downside for this operation is the risk placed on hundreds of thousands of crewmembers who will be knowingly or ignorantly flying to their doom at the hands of either the CCP vessels or various powerful alliances who I feel will deploy.

Came expecting conspiracy theory, left satisfied.

Seriously, NOT EVERYTHING IN JOVIAN SPACE IS A) Jovian or B) Wants to kill us all and eat children.

Yay! Look what I found on Galnet! I found a couple of zillobytes about how to prepare children for dinner. You can tell me what you want about the Galnet and the dangers of it. It at least has some culture. Nothing is done just plain. For everything you find a tutorial or how-to.

Anybody likes to read some examples? Maybe it's a Jovian conspiracy…

Laughable.

I'm going to assume you are not well read on Jovian history or culture. If you were you conclude that a Jovian Invasion is simple the stuff of stories to frighten kids. Go and read about the many splits and fractures in Jovian society (granted we collectively know very little).

Furthermore, do you actually know what CONCORD is? Do you know who put it together and who's technology they use? Do you grasp their actual purpose?

If the Jove had any sort of fantastical designs on taking over the cluster it would not be in the form of a fleet. Indeed you would not know they had invaded until the last moment. Understand, every single Capsuleer alive is flying around in a Jovian designed capsule. Just think about that for a moment.

Has anything come of this? Has anyone even figured out how to scan Jovian space yet?
