Improve model loading times

Within at least the last few expansion, models have taken longer to load.

Now sometimes, it takes almost have a minute for things like station, gates, and other ships to appear. At first you see nothing, then floating lights start to appear, then eventually the model said lights belong to appear. Sometimes effects such as armor hardeners are happening before the ship is even there. I was just looking at the gold simmering lights moving in the shape of a domi, but there was no domi for like another 30 seconds.

This is getting ridiculous. This is even in loaded nodes either. Sometimes i'm in areas with relatively few people, not place in empire around hub, but places out in low-sec where there aren't even a lot of people in the entire region.

Please address. Its just annoying to watch and breaks immersion.

Hm... it shouldn't take that long to load. Most models load within 1-2 seconds for me. I'd suggest you defragment your hard drive and/or check your system for other programs activity. Maybe you're able to set an exception in your real-time virus scanner to exclude EVE as well.

My system is constantly defragged and I haven't had AV installed on this thing in a long time. This actually coincides with other problems like sometimes the client taking forever to start-up and/or log in.

Get a dedicated SSD for your games and programs (EVE) or enough RAM to use virtual RAMdrive. This should eliminate the behavior you described.
