Dagan?

I've got rid of Parthus with the recommended weapons, namely six 280mm howitzers with EMP ammo, but Dagan is a different matter.

I've been orbiting him at 5,000 meters, but my 6 weapons are barely making a scratch on his shields, and I was nearly out of ammo so I did a tactical retreat to consider my next move and tactics.

Can anyone recommend what I can use to get through his shields? No luck in teaming up with another pilot, no-body wants to know, and I'll have to do it solo.

I'm currently flying a destroyer, but am trained to fly a Cruiser, so if need be I'll go over kill to finish off this arch.

How and where have you asked for help? Teaming up is the easiest way to kill that guy.

In the local chat window.

Is there another way to ask?

Dagan can be solo killed. But the intended purpose for that mission is to introduce fleets to new players.

Best bet is to ask in local for help with Dagan, not uncommon for veterans to hang around the place to help new players.

Help channel: Help chat - Reloaded

Public roams channels: RvB Ganked / Redemption Road / Spectre Fleet / Bombers bar / The Content Club

Also, from what I've read on here (gotta get that disclaimer in) He reacts to your choice of faction agent. So if you chose the Caldari agent, he'll be tanked against common Caldari strengths and exploiting common Caldri weaknesses, take that into account when you choose your damage type.

Of course, being a noob myself, I could be totally wrong, in which case, kindly disregard this post! Cool

If you still need help and can't seem to find any, send me an EVE-mail with a time and place, and I'll happily help you smack Dagan around if I'm available.

There's also the HelpMyMission channel in game, if you still need help.

If I'm not mistaken, the mission to kill Dagan occurs within a jump or two of Apanake - Home to hundreds of lvl 4 mission runners in their blingy lvl 4 running ships.

I've helped lots of people kill Dagan on my way to/from missions. Surely someone will swing by and 1 volley him for you if you are stuck long enough. Just be sure to ask a few times, we don't stay in system longer than 10-20 minutes depending on why we are there.

That said, Dagan can be soloed. It's just a tall order for a new player.

Thank you all for the offers and advice.

Up to now Sunday afternoon is the only time I have a few hours spare to devote to this game, as I'm a full time Carer for Dad - Dads 94.

I'll try and get him next week, if no joy I'll ask for a bit of help.

I've had great success with explosive damage myself. I've also heard that Dagan changing resistance based on the faction you work for is outdated info, but who knows.

I'm usually freeish sunday afternoons, if you can't find anyone else, drop me a mail when you log in (not convo please) and I'll swing over that way in a battlecruiser.

For Dagan you *can* solo him; I did it in a Thrasher. You must have more than 150 DPS to get through his tank. I do not recommend arty. Full AC and rockets all with faction ammo should do it, maybe a gyrostabilizer or two and if you have fitting headspace, a burst aerator rig.

I don't know if he changes his weakness or not depending on agent but I would be sure to look that up on the wiki if I were you.
