Hey there fellow Eve players,

it was christmas time 2013 when I first saw that my beloved collector's edition was offered for 99 EUROs. I could'nt believe my eyes and was very disappointed that I payed 149 EUROs for my PREORDER.

I wrote a petition to let CCP know what I think about that offer:
1. A PREorder helps the manufacturer to get a market sense about his product. He can minimize his risk in selling the product because he knows how the community feels about the product BEFORE the release! Therefore the PREORDER should have a better price than the "normal" order after the release instead of the reverse. [EDIT: It does not have to be cheaper but It should not be 50% more expensive than 2 months after release!]

2. 50 EUROs ?? 50 ?? So anyone who thought "hmm I don't know, is that collectors edition really worth 150 EUROs?" before release, was now "Oh look, it's only 100 EUROs now, great!" *klick*. And every loyal customer of Eve Online that was like "what? 150 EUROs for the collectors? Damn OK shut up and take my money." Was totally fu**** by CCP at this moment.

Because he payed 50% MORE as a PREODERER! F I F T Y - P E R C E N T!

As an answer of this petition, CCP told me that they do understand the anger in the community, but it is a christmas offer and that is nothing unusual on the market. They do though consider the arguments for further offers.

OH DO THEY? - YES, they do. They considered that we should shut the fu** up and brought the offer BACK!
Yes you might have seen that the collectors Edition is at 99 EUROs again for "a short time".

So I thought this is enough...



I CLAIM that you CCP pay at least 3 PLEX to everyone who can prove that he or she payed 149 EUROs for that product.

3 PLEX are not even worth 50 EUROs and besides that fact CCP does not even need to pay back real money. So I think that is more than a generous "offer"

I hereby shout out to every customer who payed 149 EUR for his collector's edition because he LOVES Eve Online and is now betrayed by CCP for this LOVE!

JOIN THIS PETITION AND SHOW CCP THAT THIS IS NOT FUN!



Fifty Euros is a lot of money (not for CCP and their sales team obviously). Everytime I look at my collector's edition I feel betrayed now instead of satisfied and I don't want to feel like that.

A special offer during christmas was a slap in the face. I took that, I told CCP that it hurts, they answered, okay... But a second offer is a shot to the nuts. So, 3 PLEX for that 50 EUROs. Fair enough, don't you think?

Für meine Deutschen Freunde, die das lesen: Ich verlange 3 PLEX für den 50 EURO Betrug von CCP. Zum zweiten Mal gibt es eine Aktion für 99 EURO und ich finde es eine Frechheit für die Vorbesteller unter uns. Ich fühle mich betrogen und jeder der das nachvollziehen kann möge diesen Thread unterzeichnen. Ich will mein Geld zurück und denke PLEXE sind eine faire "Währung" dafür.

Okay I see that my "preorder point" might be misunderstood.
I am not complaining about paying 150 for the preorder. I am complaining about a very big discount 2 months after release for one week and then another discount for maybe a week again 2 months from there.

For a preorder I feel that I shoud pay a good price for my product (here 150 bucks). When I buy the released edition, it comes to the same, atleast a fair price.

A chrsitmas sale (2 months after release) for 33% less is very hard I think but can be explained as holiday "event". But now again out of any reason for "a short time" makes me feel "betrayed". I can't help it.

And this is not about 50 bucks or 5.000 bucks, it is about the proportional amount. I payed 50% more. And that makes me think I payed to much for what it is.
Again: No problem if 100 bucks was the standard price now. Still the period of 4 months seems very short for that big drop of price.

Meh, rage.

Makes me think of that television I bought for 1200.- then 3 month's later it was for sale at 800.-.
Didn't go back to rage because, shrug, 'c'est la vie'.

There is a HUGE difference to "technology producs". You pay 800 instead of 1200 because there is competition.
1. There is NO competition for collectors editions...
2. The regular price is STILL 150 Bucks

Don't you just hate the people who don't participate in the forums until they have something to rage at?

Do you think for even one second that CCP is:

Going to see your post here?
Going to convene a special meeting of their executives and stockholders?
Going to vote yes on whether to submit to your demands for satisfaction?
Going to give you anything more than a "thanks for buying our Collector's Edition!"?

Besides, your point 2-4 depend on point 1 and point 5 demands that I repeat my last comment.

If you think this is a whine and ccp wont read it, you are free to. So, don't waste your time and comment it.

Unless I'm gone crazy, Pre-orders also got special benefits which people buying now won't get.

It just does not change my feeling about 50% difference in pricing nearly 2 Months after release.
