sticking it into a role for just bridging as Rek seven suggested is stupid especially for a sub cap ship ... So please blops are not and should not be just designed as a bridging role ...

**** you buddy, I didn't suggest that.

No it wouldn't because the blops role is to bridge a fleet...

Wait excuse me? you did suggest that the main role of a blops battleship was bridging right?

Perhaps English isn't your first language but let me explain what my issue is here...

intresting bonuses but imo it feels like they should kept the cov ops cloak theme going Sad
Still people will probably use these in all kinds of creative applications im sure of it Smile
I always wondered why eve had Large rigs for scanning and hacking but no battleship hulls with those bonuses P

Yeah imagine if they did change it that way. oh wait able to warp cloaked, able to jump through a covert jump portal, able to bridge. it would freaking gimp all the blops battleships ....

You were suggesting that the mere presence of a covert cloak would allow the Nestor to create jump portals (which is wrong) and make it superior to black ops ships, so i said:

If this SoE bs had a covert cloak, it would be no more OP than a cloaky T3.

Then you said:

I didn't say anything about the Nestor being able to bridge a fleet but i read this as you calling me stupid for suggesting it should. If what you meant to say was: "the black ops role shouldn't only be to bridge a fleet" then you should be more clear in the future but as this topic is not about the black ops ships anyway, your statement was irrelevant..

That concludes today's rundown of the thread.

Well my assumption is was that seeing as the stratos has the same role bonuses as a recon minus the cycle time and LO amount. then well if they kept the same theme the SoE BS would be the same as a blops battleships.

Seems legit.

By legit, I mean a waste of LP's. Wow, blow me down, a fricking faction battleship to run radars, mags and ghost sites in. Not that you can't already do that with MJD BS or, in the case of ghost sites, a month-old alt in an imicus so that when things blow up, who cares right?

I feel like CCP doesn't understand that what wormholers want isn't a small battleship that can do everything in mediocrity. The role bonus of virus strength isn't needed because anybody who isn't stupid is flying a specialized frigate or covert ops so that they're not as enormous of a target on grid when they're actually hacking.

I'm intrigued by the bonuses of this ship, but I think it's suffering from a lack of knowing its purpose. That being said, I think this thing could redefine "turtle domi" for a lot of players who weren't around in 2007-2008.

After searching, those turtle fits look weak. Almost no dps. Domi's nowadays are way more lethal. Twisted

Nestors have a hidden ability they won't get polarized.

Anyone using them should exploit this to fullest and use them to check both sides of new signatures.
