The Prowler is definitely my favorite, but the Viator has its uses too.

My extra hi-slot item on the Prowler is a Salvager II. I have one Prowler thats 3 years old with a Salvager II that I bought they day they became available from invention.

That one Salvager II has brought in almost 3 billion in salvage....mostly from elite wreck on gates during hauls.

I keep two Prowlers these days....one with Hyperspatial IIs to take advantage of the warp speed change, and a Cargo II/Poly II mix for bigger hauls.

One little thing regarding Shield based BR, Shield Extender increase your signature and decrease the time neccessary to lock on your ship, thus slightly increasing the chance of beeing tackled at a gate.

Combined with the already "large" signature of the crane, just another reason why a it is ****.

I personaly use one Prorator for everything because I can either go for >10.000m³ of cargospace or <3s Aligntime just by changing the low slotts.


The Prowler might be a nice ship but it simply has not enought low slotts to get below 3s aligntime and sadly not enough cargo either. CCP is simply overrating the extra High slott for this ship.

For K-space, that high slot is probably overrated. For W-space, that extra high slot is the difference between being stuck in a system with no bookmarked holes and being able to find your way back out to K-space.

That might be true but thats a solution the players found, I dont think CCP would just make the Prowler the one and only WH-capable Ship. At least not without giving at least another BR the same treatment.

On top of that, this extra slot is just a nice to have feature, nothing realy crucial to the ship itself.


With the Prowler (as well a the crane) CCP simply missed the point of BR or, for the lack of better term, core features a BR should have, aside from its cov ops stuff.

=> Small signature
=> Fast align
=> 10,000 m³




So... yeah, it "might" be a good ship in "some" situations but this can be said for every single ship out there, even the Nestor and this ship is ... "not realy good".
