what would i do to fix the nestor?

get rid of the hacking/scaning bonus and replace with the ability to make and use covert ops jump bridge.

though i would argue against fixing the nestor untill ccp fixes all blops.

Doesn't take a Bhaalgorn. Just a few well placed bumps.

Good luck bumping two Nestors away from each other when they are orbiting each other at 500ms. Also, if you get close enough to them to bump them, in a ship that is good at bumping. Your going to have a bad day.

Yea, it's a load of horse crap.

At the cost of these things, you're getting into capital territory. You should be able to get some extra mileage out of them. They are still going to be far, far weaker than a capital so whats the problem with beefing them up a bit.

Don't need to bump them, you need a couple newbros in black birds......or god help you if you get "suddenly falcon'd".

Still nary a logical argument against covops cloak, or even the same cloak capability as the blops BBs. Hell, the blops BBs should have covops cloak too, then you might see them do something besides bridge.

As it stands now, the Nestor dosen't fill any role that other ships don't already do better. Without what is right now a 1.6 billion pricetag on the hull in Jita.

Going exploring? Bring a covops frig. Or a cloaky T3.
Spidertanking BS gang? How many Dominixes could I buy for 1.6 bil? Navy Domis? And would the Nestor even be superior?
PVE? Why? Just use.... anything else.
Providing RR for fleets? Current Logistics ships are better.
Bait? Maybe.... but any T2/Faction ship is shiny enough to be bait.

I once thought about buying 2 Nestors and using them in sites and missions. Buy what would 4 billion ISK (after mods) worth of Nestors be able to do that 2 other ships could do just as well?

You know if the Nestor was released right around the time wormholes started in 2009, it would have been the goto ship of wormholers - a battleship with low mass suitable for wormholes with good drone fu capability and good support potential where your mass was limited in what you brought, but you could have had a little less in logistics but added some teeth to the next best thing.

But since 2009, the wormholers learned to adapt and overcome with the ships they already had on hand.

The Nestor is, as we say, a day late and a dollar short.

If they think the Nestor is going to become "the premier wormholer ship", it's going to need to do something that overcomes one of the limitations of wormholes.

So far, it does not.

Coming back to the op's suggestion...

No cov ops cloak

I can see an argument for making it in line with BLOPs;

The Stratios and Asteros can run with a BLOPs gang, but since the BLOPS cannot use the cov ops cloak it does not make sense for this ship to do it. However giving it the cloak bonuses and ability to jump the BLOPs bridge would bring the Nestor in line with its smaller cousins. However if that is done then it would require some other bonus to be removed rather than create an unbalanced over bonused ship.

So simply I would say give it the BLOPs bridge and cloak stuff but... Remove the turret bonus. This could create a role for the ship within the game, and given the way people fit BLOPS ships a decent Logi that could bridge with the fleet would be worth many isk (and yes I know they already exist to a point in T3s but hell T3s already fill every damn role you want to argue for so meh).

Scammers are currently selling killrights on this toon for up to 5mil, if you have paid for this service demand your money back at once.

Killing me should be for free.

Cut the price by 67% percent or give it massive buffs. As is, it's a 500m ship in my book.

There's plenty of room for 2 ECCM modules with all the mid slots. Good luck with that too. I am serious. Go on the test server and try it.

I don't have to.

If I have a need for spider tanking drone ships I have carrier(s). They do it better, and cheaper.

I never was a market camper. Most of my time in high/low sec was spent trying to kill them.
