let them use a covert ops cloak but make it so they use 100% cpu on it or such an amount that it would be restricted to travel and 100% unbonused drones with no tank
so you have to take it out when you wanna run a site

The first step of addressing the design problem with the Nestor... is admitting there's a design problem with the Nestor. It's abundantly clear to (almost) everyone that this thing is a "Spruce Goose".

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Yes.

It took thousands of unsubscribed accounts and weeks of threadnaughting before Hilmar came out to say that.

Only to fire 20% of the staff and blame us for revolting against his rule.

That's a terrible example.

Leadership is something you learn. Maybe one day, you'll learn that.

Look at the thread about this mess on the F&I forum.
The dev's in question were warned about awful this boat was , and how there was a better boat out there in any form the Nestor could be used (I know it fall on deaf ears, but dev's interested in "rebalancing" the T3's, take note).

So what happened?
They ignored the player base, and we got a ship dead on arrival.

And now, we have a faction BS that no one is interested in using .
BTW, CCP, how many wormhole crews are deciding that the mass of the Nestor outweighs its many deficiencies?
You have the data.
Look it up.

Just like many other decisions by the devs responsible for ships and modules, they screwed up when messing with the stats, and ignored the player community that warned them.

I have to say I'm very happy with the Nestor. It is an amazing awoxing ship.

Meh.

If I went back in time and told myself back in say 2009 that there would be a SoE battleship class I'd have been stoked beyond words.

I don't know if you guys seen the F&I thread on this, but you can trade in Nexus chips for a Nestor with SoE - or so they plan. Yes, some drone drop for this ship.

(It does fit in perfectly with the storyline though)

There has to be something about this ship that would make it worth the cost, or they need to drop the LP cost. Lower the price or make it worth the price.

A lot of people were hoping for a ship that could do deep space and extended wormhole exploration unsupported - which would have been in line with SoE principles and exploration usage. All we have here is a very expensive battleship that pretends it's a logistics ship crossed with a pocket carrier and excels in neither by ability or "cost per functionality" meaning if I can turn a bolt with a 5 dollar wrench I don't need to get a 100 dollar wrench to turn the same bolt.

And they teased us make it look like it could contain smaller ships too.

What a disappointment. Sad

RR Nestors beat all the things. Try it on the test server, I am perfectly serious. Unless someone turns up with 4 Bhaalgorns, propperly fit Nestors will take everything. Dreads with carrier support, fleets of 5 Vindis, Machs, Rattlesnakes, 20 man HAC gangs. Multiple falcons (loads of mid slots for multiple ECCM) The lot. Don't believe me? Try it.

The Nestor is a fleet ship. Two Nestors together are straight up incredible. I would say overpowered. Basically if your not fitting them for a RR gang, your fitting it wrong. You wouldn't fit a Vindi with Artillery and no webs and complain it was **** would you? If it cost about as much as a carrier, it would be worth it for high-sec warfare (as long as you can find two people willing to fly them).

Silly boy, the only metric of a pirate faction BS is it's value as a PvE platform.

Yeah good thing I already sold off all of my extra T3s.

I'm sure they are going to be a total mess after Rise and Fozzie get a hold of them. Apparently everything not a T1 cruiser or PvE barge is supposed to be crap by design.

Sounds pretty awesome to me.

@ $1.6-billion, a bargain... Roll

Oh no argument there on the price. I think we all know that half the SoE ships for sale on the market were put there by dev alts just to push PLEX sales on newbies:

1) Shiny has newbie skill requirements.
2) Shiny costs more ISK than a newbie could ever hope to raise.
3) Newbies sell PLEX for shiny.

It's all just a thinly veiled cash grab, just like everything else CCP does.
