I'm not much into the market, but ive had twice items bought from me then sold at a much higher price.

This time i'm just dealing with one item and someone bought it all up to put it on a higher price. So now I put more up, and I think I made him mad. He has now split his order into multiple orders and undercut me by one isk. also trying to make the other orders look like other people. but they were all made within minutes of each other.

I really don't want to fly over in order to change my price every time he does, the one thing I can think of is to put my price 0.1 isk below the price he bought all my stock for. See if he likes losing that profit to beat me as I will still make money, but since he bought my product in the first place will indefinately lose isk.

He may just be panicking that his buy up was bonked and trying to get his isk back. I dunno.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

You can either keep undercutting him by a small amount to keep yours as the main order, or you can undercut to a position that you think is about your limit on margin, and hope he doesn't undercut. It's really your choice and either is pretty effective. It just depends how much time you are willing to put in and how quick you need to restore liquid capital.

Well I had really planned on leaving this over time, but the market is quite empty besides us.

He bought my product and posted at a higher price.

I posted more at a better price than my first.

Now he is undercutting my higher price.

I'm just trying to decide. Play the undercut by .1 game /or/ go under what he bought it for in the first place.

Keep letting him buy you out all he wants. I have made large quantities of isk off people trying to control the market this way. Even if it is a low profit margin, its printing isk until he stops. Plus a bonus of knowing your winning.

Sometimes that's the case; sometimes you do not know the reason a price is changing. I got done on that with tech 1 salvage in the pre-Odyssey price spike - lots of people were (wrongly) speculating that the announcement of capital rigs would lead to lasting price increases in t1 salvage, and I hadn't seen the Dev post, meaning I sold all my t1 salvage well before it peaked. (Glad I did now, however, as it's less than half its old price now).
