New player tries out game.
Doesn't understand, loses ships.
Community tells him to gtfo, nobody tries to teach or help him.
Newbie leaves.
We all pat each other on the back, we didn't want him anyway.

Newbie was trying to ruin the game for everyone?

More accurately:

New player tries out game.
Doesn't understand, loses ship.
Decides not to look up the rules or how the game works.
Decides it's the fault of the game and of other players.
Decides to make sure that the game must be punished through slander and rants.

Community tells him to gtfo since he has already demonstrated a thoroughly hostile attitude and an absolute unwillingness to learn.

No one forces you to choose to kill a new player. Just because you "can" do something doesn't mean that doing so goes without the consequence of you being thought of negatively.

I could walk outside and someone, thinking that because it's possible for me to die at any moment, could walk up and shoot me. Now he's not teaching me anything other than he is an ass hole.

So basically your argument is: I am an ass hole, let me continue to be one. Also think I'm awesome while I'm being an ass hole.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

First and foremost, I come from a game more hardcore than this nonsense ship shooting thing you take so much pride in.
So losing a ship in eve means absolutely nothing to me.

What being shot by someone does do, is teach me that that person is the type of person who enjoys attempting to create misery in others.

Something about the way you think causes you to derive enjoyment by creating situations where you think you are upsetting others.

That's psychotic. Now, being of superior moral character, I find it enjoyable to look at those I perceive to have mental ailments and feel better about myself in comparison.

So you go ahead and "lol" blow up some noob ships. Continue to show me that something along the span of your life has caused you to degenerate into a despicable human being.

Never said shot and killed, said shot. argument revalidated

Also, as much as you people try to validate eve being fake, then how is it that we all play it? Eve exists. You might set up some imaginary wall where you think since it's existence is based entirely on your computer, that it's not real.

But who is it that sits at your computer and spends the time playing eve? It's you, therefore every decision you choose to make in EvE is a reflection of your real life character, because though you're making those decisions in EvE, it's still you making those choices.

Im sorry to hear that your experience with game has been disappointing.
However it is a real shame that EvE, which is probably the least competitive environment I can think of, was the one to make you quit gaming.

Come come come play the game
This is your life - don't play hard to get
It's a free world all you have to do is fall in love
Play the game

Hahaha least competitive environment, ive afraid youve mistaken eve for another mmo or your just blind to the physics and social parts of eve other than being one of the many tear collectors.

But yes i have seen a number of new players come in and quit as they cant even mine before being ganked or pulled into some kind of trap for someones kill board.

That's pretty low, tbh.
I don't think that it follows that someone who says something like that can claim moral superiority.

Is this the world we created
What did we do it for
Is this the world we invaded
Against the law
So it seems in the end
Is this what we're all living for today
The world that we created.

First off, I made a blanket statement regarding people's posts painting them to be negative people. I never called you out specifically.

Now if you look at this threads history, you'll see you addressed me first.

So somewhere in what I said, you felt as though my statements addressed you. Me, well I have no ability to know what it is you are or aren't, but seeing as how you choose to directly address me and contradict me, you force me to assume that by being offended or needing to question me, that it's because you are the type of person I described.

How about you tell me how you're not an ass hole?

I don't collect tears. Infact, I dont try to upset anyone. I don't PVP at all in fact.
I play the game regularly and I don't feel any need to compete with anyone. Im not trying to out do anyone, Im just a squirrel trying to get a nut, baby.

It's a PVP game. Clicking "undock" is consenting to someone else being able to ruin your day. New players already have more then enough safeguards in place to make things easy for them to at least get a basic grasp of how the universe works. Also, as a new player - there's nothing you own of enough value to even worry about losing. If that's not the case, then perhaps we should focus on brand new accounts flying blinged out Navy ships with faction mods? :P

No no its not consenting, consenting is invitation to duel. As opposed to a character with many millions of skill points facing a nhew player with say 500k SP max. Sorry but eve is ****** up in that respect. Other MMOs have a levelling mechanic so that the new player has at least an equal footing to the older character/player.

Oh dear, you don't get EVE either..

Right

Considering the fact that my oldest toon in eve is 6 years old and a very good IRL friend of mine also helped launch eve radio with the original eve radio founder way back when (don't know who runs eve radio now - weather its the original eve radio founder/s or not) and then you turn round and say I don't get the game either ?

Hello,

Gonna make this short, new players, do not subscribe to this game for the ubers will **** you and the asteroid fields, giving u no chance to play.

Harrassment by players putting bounties on you for no reason is no way to welcome new players who have a hard enough time learning the game.

Like all games, EVE is too old with too many grumps having free time to screw other players.

I have uninstalled the game, and will follow up with a detailed explanation of why this skinners bag is too full.
That will be on my forums.

GL you old ubers, there will be no new blood for this game if i can help it.

You realise that bounty basically meant nothing, right?

No, and that's why I'm asking: what does anything you wrote when you quoted me have to do with my posts? The fact that you quote me suggests that you're addressing me; the incoherent ramblings of your post suggests you're not. If you're not addressing me, why are you quoting me?
