Worried about 29/11 release

Am I the only one worried about the list of unfinished things that are still on sisi?

Would CCP just release another expansion half-done and then put out patches 1.1.1.1.1.1.1?

Or would CCP just decide to push back the release date and wait for the things being finalised?

Which one would YOU prefer?

I personally would like CCP to polish their things a little more before "releasing" and that would make any additional changes very abrupt to the average players.

Push it back imo.

But I prefer the ship aesthetics of TQ anyway and despite all the other good things I will be sad when Crucible arrives; all dark, plastic and not-colour changing.

All I can think of is drugs. And the changes proposed to them were very bad (as CCP stated when they said the changes would not go through) and it is a good thing that they did not go through. (I could see halving the penalties or something, or doubling the effectiveness of both related skills (not that, you know, me having both at five has had any effect on my opinion there...))

Also, the rest of the drug changes that were promised in the future and were not planned for crucible are not finished (doubt this is what he is thinking of...)

EDIT: Also: people think SC balancing is off (meh). Chimera needs CPU (and no one has posted anywhere that it does not or any reason whatsoever that it should not have it, just sayin').

Observations based on build #935

There are a lot of features that could be polished more and are still being polished via bug fixes. Which is a good thing but its hard to say what is a bug becouse of coding not finished yet and what is not polished and will be cleaned up later.

I was hoping for a stable client by now where the edge cases where harder to find or where core fuctinality still is missing.

Will corp BM creation be coming to the right click menu before launch?

Linking got returned to previous funcinality finally but now windows are broke again on my Win7-64 bit install.

The improved Eve wiki is suppost to be released but there has been no formal word about it.

Private chat just broke 5 days before releaseWhat?

While stat tweeks are being released for a lot of things no core fuctionality like pos or sov shake ups is happening this time so the sand box core michanics will not get impacted by this patch which is a good thing. . The UI is changing a lot though and still has not settled down which conserns me.

Whats the current defect count? I am afraid to ask.

build 1088
Private chat is back but corp to corp mate its auto no option to reject.

T2 Triage module immediately springs to mind.

CCP Tallest also admitted that by the time most of the changes hit singularity, they were too far along in the development stage to have any real tweaks done prior to the november 29th release.

I applaud CCP for actually listening to the playerbase in recent months, it is a noticeable change from the last few years. However, why ask us for our feedback on different ships without any real time to make changes?

If you push the release date back a month, there would be more time to sift through the probably 1300 bug reports cluttering up, and push out a very solid and complete expansion, something the playerbase is eagerly awaiting.

Too much good stuff to delay. Minor things can be tweaked in a follow-up bugfix patch in a week or two, no?

I just want a reply on vision so TQ players do not get frustrated with haveing a feature that has a glaring hole in execution.

This expansion is looking to be the best one since Apocrypha. What you mark as unfinished is balance issues which can be taken care off later (though most of the faction mods introduced in dominion are still wanting an upgrade from prenerf to usability land 2-years later).

The issues I've found with the new build are things like:
1) "shield skills have no name" - which I'm sure you've fixed already
2) "fleet window not reopening after closing" - probably a hotfix soon enough
3) "insane lag and screen locking when two carriers refit at each other during triage combat" - might be a deeper problem, if it persists it will ruin a lot of the innovative non super cap fighting in EVE.
4) "corporate hangar with 14 bookmarks taking over a minute to load" - likely a serious problem down the road, especially when larger amounts are involved.

All these things are in varying degrees problems, but the new patch looks so good and the ships so shiny that I for one forgive the dev's these hopefully isolated issues and hope they'll be fixed quickly Cool

Have you bug reported these issues. The new auto build bugreports using the F12 options are great.

I too am worried just a little that CCP has bitten off more than it can chew (ie release a huge fan-loved expansion, without the epic bug-count)

between POS fuels (still no BPO's on sisi last I checked), corp BM, the new ships, the visual changes to ship trails and missing shots, customs offices, UI changes, new font, changes to the avatar (full-body) ... I know the list goes on and on...

do you honestly think all these features will arrive on TQ in 3 days and not be full of enough bugs that it won't UN-DO the goodwill you have engendered by at least listening??

if you need more time I suggest you take it... one bug filled expansion does NOT beat 2-3 smaller ones spread out over the month. I have reported the bugs I've found, but nothing beats throwing it at the player base so they can intentionally break it, then whine to high heaven that CCP sucks.

OTOH.... I don't KNOW that it will be this awful.... I just hope its not.

1. There are some UI bugs when I have blank windows with no content.
2. Oracle has some texture problems. If you look at any Amarr ship and then on Oracle you'll see a big difference.
3. Trails are invisible on ships with the speed lower then 120.
4. Sometimes in space FPS drops to 20 from 255. Didn't report this bug because it happend occasionally.
5. Tier3 BCs are useless and dronless except Talos. Only newb will fly them.
6. Blasters or Hybrids overall are still so-so as weapons. I still will be using ACs on my Myrm.
7. You didn't fix my lasters. They still have bad damage types. There should be more then just EM/THERM damage types to choose.

The upgrade from current TQ build to current Sisi build borks windows and can perma-lock them if a windows are pinned and stacked when the update is done.

Details.

I bug reported this last night.

Fuel BPOs were not seeded - known issue, got dev response, so should be fine on Tuesday. Mentioned in the player-driven winter-summary thread:
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=33091

From what I've seen on Sisi, the release is in "pretty good" shape. The main issues that I had were chat-box text going weird on Thursday's build (promptly bug reported). It's an evolutionary expansion, which has been long desired by the player base.

when running single and multiple windows, all kinds of windows drag all across the screen randomly when moving the mouse. multiple windows scroll up and down when repositioning the window

T2 Triage is something that seems to be screaming at me atm ... im sure about eveyr carrier pilot here would agree that the training time is not even close to worth training for this module that adds nothing usefull . this module needs boosts to overall rep amounts of both local and/ remote reps to be even worth considering.

as with a lot of the type2 modules I think they are just place holders for when new in game michanics do get added. Easier to add them now and if some one needs stuff to skill let them have at it. Those that do will be way ahead of the curve when the future changes are added.

Where are the FW changes we were promised?

You know, the ones that were going to be part of the winter expansion?
