I'm glad I snuck in about 40 minutes after the announcement.

That $32 shipping price made me twitch four about 10 minutes. I think I'd have been in the first 100 instead of in the 300's if it was not for that.

I'm very much looking forward to adding this to my collection.

when I added it to my cart it said there were still some signed ones left, when I completed my order and went back to the page and they were all gone, so not really sure which I actually got. but hey I got a limited edition so woo!

When I read the title of the article, I thought you were taking pre-orders for purchasing EVE's source code and I got really excited.
Then I saw it was just some book. X
You ruined it.

So you expect me to pay up 90 euro for a 200 page book...Sorry but I paid 25 euro for 5000 pages of Game of Thrones...The collectors edition was already pushing the limit of cost/worth, this book is simply hilariously expansive...

For 20 I would do it, for 40...maybe but only if I got a "plaque"...but 90 euros for a single book? Hell no.

Edit: Goddamit...It happened...I bought it...Damn you CCP!

@Manic Velocity I don't have a wife (yet) but my mom always says the same P

Hmm, how long does it take for the order to get acknowledged if I do it through paypal? I ordered a few minutes ago but I don't have the automated message yet...Which worries me What?

Edit2: Nvm, it came in on my other email that is linked to paypal...Kinda confusing since I ordered with my EVE account...Oh well!

Since when the eve store stopped shipping to south america? i often ordered the E-ON and books and were delivered without any issues, shipping was expensive true.....but now the option is no longer available.

I wasn't going to do it. I sat and mashed F5 while watching the number of limited edition copies melt away. I could justify the $90 price tag, considering the quality of the binding, the signed artwork, and that nifty plaque. But $30 to ship a book is completely ridiculous.

Five minutes later I had my order confirmation. I feel somewhat guilty, but this will be a nice addition to my man-cave.

You, sir, win life.

My fiancee didn't bat an eye at my CE purchase, but I doubt she'd actively encourage anything that might keep me mired in EVE. ;)

Yeah, but this way, since it's a book, you can spin it that it'll be nice to lay in bed at night reading before bed together. But secretly, you're still doing Eve.

Enter grid and you're already dead, destined to be reborn and fight another day.

Take it to fanfest and see if he'll do it in person!

I've already raised the possiblity of "signings for beers" with the devs.

So far reactions have been positive.

I'm from Yorkshire, which is to say I'd walk a mile to save a penny.

I bought it instantly.

Seriously, you can't directly compare cheap paperback pages of pure text with the glossy printed, near-card quality paper, half of which is covered extremely high quality colour images of original artwork.

If you read my edits, I already bought it...Because apparently I like EVE stuff...Darn it...

Aaanyway, it still feels like too much, you are definitely right that this is not just letters and a paperback cover, but you have to admit that 5000 pages for 25 euro vs 200 pages for 90 feels and sounds kind of ridiculous Straight
