Solo Caldari Cloaky Proby?

All in the title really, I've been back in the game about 3 weeks and getting stuck in to the usual affair of being a carebear, I have around 40m skill points, have the skills to fly most Caldari ships up to Marauders and own a NH, Tengu and an Eagle, but I'd like to know what i can use to at least fairly successfully use to take into lowsec/WH and safely scan down (cloak + probe) targets, obviously limited and picky engagements as solo and somewhat rusty when it comes to PVP.

Is there really 1 set up for a Caldari player? Skilling for other ships is an option of course but not an immediate fix.

Thanks in advance!

J

yep pretty much. I mean you could try a blaster shield fit tackle falcon. When the enemy stopped laughing at you they would kill you though.

If you're rusty at PvP I'd suggest you go fit up some frigs/cruisers and go out and set up camp in a lowsec area of your choice first, get to know the locals etc. There's not many targets you can pick on in lowsec in a cloaky proby Tengu and if you just start scanning people down and trying to gank em you'll lose your Tengu fast. Also Proteus is preferred for this, while it's possible, cloaky proby Tengu is pretty bad, just cloaky is okay, but probey as well really gimps your fit.

Yeah I ended up sitting in a T1 BC scanning down targets. Will get some better experience before I take anything else out.

I use a covert ops HML or RLML tengu, that seems the obvious choice for you since you have it trained already. Interdiction nullifier comes in handy, as when someone defends their hole they bubble the exits.
