when i try to do the Civilian Afterburner Blueprint part, i click the blueprint, click manufacturing, and click OK, but it says "you need to have the industry skill at the necessary level." so i went into the character skills part and paused my current skill that was training and found the Industry one under Production, it says "you meet the requirements to train this skill and has a green arrow next to it, but when i right click, there is no "put into queue" or "train to level one" or anything, the only options are Show Info, View Market Details, and Find in Contracts. how do i train this so i can continue the tutorial :|

Click the 'view market details' tab and purchase the skill book. Then right click the book while it's in your hangar and select 'inject skill'. Open your queue and get it started.

Almost all skills come from NPCs that seed them into the market. Skills newbies want cost 20k to 500k ISK, skills aimed at high SP players cost 1m to 50m mostly but can cost billions. (Look up the Gallente Titan skillbook on the market).

It's to reduce in-game inflation - ISK spent on those books is basically destroyed, which reduces the amount in circulation, keeping ship costs lower.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

Yeah. Would not be totally game breaking to give everybody ebery skill in the game at the start.
And how about other MMOs. They give you all the skills for free when you start, right?

/sarcasm.

Before purchase the skill book, check your hangar. The career agent give some starting skill books.

Would be funny, except the tutorials give almost all the skill books you need to complete them. And yes, it would be silly to require new players to grind ISK for skill books before they've even done the tutorial.

It's been a while, but IIRC none of the career agents give you the Industry book, but also IIRC it is only 18-20k from a NPC vendor.

I would recommend doing ALL the career agent missions, even if a particular career doesn't really interest you, because of the free skill books, ships, and ISK.
