If it's ok I like to give a brief description of what went down starting in November, Thanksgiving weekend 2012. Give a few minutes to collect my thoughts and I will post in this thread.Big smilePirate

======================================================================================
Sub Title; How I found out.
and What was Done.
======================================================================================
Saturday evening Thanksgiving weekend Nov. 2012.
After spending most of the day in bed, wasn't able to do much, couldn't sit for long, tried to work online, got worst and by late evening I knew something was terribly wrong. Called cab, got a few things together and went to emergency room.

Got registered, had my vitals done, got sick in waiting room and they got me into a room to lay down finally. Started IVs, doctor comes in and said I would be admitted after preliminary questions.

======================================================================================
Weekend went by kinda slowly but I was able to rest and was being treated with fluids. Monday I was taken to xrays, my worst fears were founded when I was told my colon was totally block after a coloscopy was done. Wednesday, had surgery and woke up later with a bag hanging outside and tube down my throat to relieve a LOT of pressure. It stank like ####!!

Discharged a week later back home with instructions on diet and personal care.

Two weeks later fast tracked to start radiation and chemo.
=======================================================================================
Seven weeks of chemo and radiation done on target and on time. End of March had surgery to remove tumor and put me back together. Then two and a half months to recover and started second round of chemo which got delayed because of an abcess we took care of.
=======================================================================================
Twelve (12) sessions of chemo every other week till completeion which is tomorrow 2/12/14!!

Since you went there, here's something to help light your way.

That's great news, having had my dad battle Bowel Cancer this year and get the all clear I can see how much the rest of your family will also breath a great sigh of relief. Cancer is a biatch and it devastates not only the person suffering but those loved ones around.

Good one fella Lol

Now time to settle back into real life and get the ball rolling again. Good luck to you...

Yes exactly, to resettle back to normalcy will take time. It's not an over night thing and I have had conversations with friends that it will take a lot of time. Meaning my energy level and strength will have to be rebuilt over time and doing the things I love doing out of doors, mountain biking, road biking, hiking or just getting out in the fresh air.

To get back to near normalcy as I said will take timeBig smile

It makes me very happy to read your story. You're one tough Capsuleer in real life.

Hope you get to pilot your Titan with a really big grin on your face.

Heheheh, yes one of these days I will get one and believe me I'll have a grin as I travel all over. Course it's gonna be a while before I can get one since I have to work my way up the ladder to get those skills to fly one. But in the meantime....Big smilePirate

And yes, I am one TOUGH Capsuleer!!Cool
