Sorry, but no. I'm supposed to stay completely anonymous, and it would be bad form to have someone who officially works for CCP Games comment on the Star Citizen forums, wouldn't it? Also, who's to say I even have an account there? P

I pre-purchased X:R, and when I finally got it delivered, it was a totally unplayable bugfest. I too wanted to like it, but I couldn't get over the fact that it was a poorly made console game that was ported to PC. It took many patches and many restarts of the campaign before I could even get halfway through without a major bug breaking it. Several times I found myself hunting through the .xml files to bypass one broken mechanic after another. I haven't played it for quite awhile now... Isk(instead) for posting isn't such a bad idea. Perhaps start at 1m then have a downward sliding scale to encourage more fees.

But back to the topic at hand, I am looking forward to 2015, 2016, or maybe 2020 when this game is released. Until then, we will have to make do with forum discussions.

Notice how the SC guys assume we will be bumping their mining ships with small ships. I was thinking we'd bring the largest ships instead and do a bit of SC bowling.

And I'm back on the thread! I went ahead and purchased a snazzy ship package along with some additional credits.

I plan on gracing Star Citizens with my presence for many years to come and will certainly welcome them when they come to Eve.

I've seen something similar any time someone talks about a game they have preordered when they only have the devs word on what the released game will be like.

The more the game was hyped, the worse it got.

Especially after the false advertising that was Aliens: Colonial Marines. Never preorder a video game.

I thought SC could be cool, that maybe eve did have stuff to fear... then I looked at it more and realized.. no, eve has nothing to fear. We will lose some people sure, but from what I am looking at, SC is NOTHING like eve.

The pvp slider alone made me go huh?

That you can either face a player or an AI and not tell the difference... really? you won't be able to tell the difference... right...

That its random if you will get a fight

The death mechanic is... odd... I get it.. kinda, but tis still odd.

I do like the possibility of no skill points just jump in a ship and go... but tat still feels weird.

Real physics and things sounds like an uber lag fest waititng to happen.

It does look pretty, and has some nifty things, but all in all, it sounds like wow in space. Which is fine if you like that sorta thing. That or a huge scam for money.

Anyway, i'll try it, might as well, but it sounds more like EnB, which was a fun game but nothing like eve, then something that will hurt eve in the long run. I'll have to read yoru thread after work for the lawls

Love it how these SC people think there will be no way no how that someone will be able to AFK mine in their game, if it ever comes out.

Botters will always figure out a way to bot, its what they do. Thinking otherwise is delusional.

They also seem to think collision damage will only affect bumping ships and not the ship being bumped. I was reading that you may be able to target specific parts of the ship. I'd like to see a cheap small ship kamikaze their thrusters, or a small gang just wreck one.

This is going to be fun exploring all sorts of game mechanics and the conventional wisdom over there.

Regardless, they seem really mad about everything involving player interaction.

I'm eagerly looking forward to the sc launch as I too would like to bring the love of New Eden to the natives of star citizen.

We should launch a campaign to ensure that gate camps and ganking are the norm everywhere in sc, though I am naturally disappointed with the talk of pvp sliders and flags, which is why I think elite dangerous may well be a much more fitting playground for us as elite has always been more hardcore in tone.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...
