Baiting is overpowered, it needs a serious nerf— traps are too good.

This is a contradiction. If you COULD see what the enemy was doing, you wouldn't need strategy.

Cynos remove all strategy.

A good strategy is to have scouts in nearby areas, choose your setup wisely, choose to engage wisely and so on. This is all made irrelevant by a cyno. At best you will get a small gang or solo ship to engage bait and drop a ton of ships on them.

At worst you can choose not to cyno in if the odds are bad.

I once masterbaited some guy from his brutix into a megathron.... then he 'exploded'. hahaha xD

bingo, his pig not being a goat doesn't make the pig wrong, just him an idiot for shouting at his pig "WHY ARENT YOU A GOAT!" (Source)

But yes, in general more cruising, less dropping would be nice Blink But that won't change so quickly, the advantages hotdropping gives you are just to good.

this as less to do with baiting than dropping imaho.

baiting is fine, but the instant "i bring 50BC and 2 triage carriers in your face" is the issue.

there is a reason i changed my fleet doctrine to 200km alpha nados..
because 90% of the time, the solo [insert cruiser or bigger here] is a cyno bait.

now, we used to scan em, but indeed, they adapted by using a 2nd cloacky toon to cyno so the first one pass the scan.

and of course, WE are the cowards (wich turns out fun when the cyno tries to bait 5-8 ppl with 40+ ppl waiting on his spacedildo to drop us and is confronted with it).

tldr: titan drop is deterrent to fight (i think BLOPS is OK because of the weekness / or isk + skill involved, it seems way more balanced)

you are wrong, the current situation is avoiding contact because of cyno, if THAT is what you call a strategy......

i've been in too many fights where i engage, even outnumbered, when, as soon as the odds turn in our favor " a wild fleet appears".

thx but no thx

even got my vigilant dropped by 15 BC because 2 cruisers where not able to kill me, only to w/out the second i saw the cyno (thx EC-300), just to be treated of being a coward...go figure....

Am I reading this right? There's a dead-in-the-water Augoror from an enemy corp just sitting near a gate, and you can't bring yourself not to attack it? So, you need a game mechanic changed to accomodate the fact you can't just sit on your hands once in a while and let something slide? This is really funnier than all the master baiter jokes rolled into one.

Just walk on by...foolish pride....

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

My mom told me that if I bait too much I'll grow hair on the armor plates of my maller. C/D?

What a useless post. What a useless thought. There is nothing wrong with baiting except that you dont have the skill to avoid them.

I actually agree with the basic idea behind the OP. Eve favors large groups too much. Solo PvP (outside of FW sites) does not really work. Even those who are good at it (if they are honest) admit that they lose more than they win.
