Flip the Crucifier Over

Dear CCP and Everybody,

Recently the hull for the Crucifier was changed from an old model to a newer more streamlined one. While The newer model is enjoyable and seems to handle better than the previous one I have found in it one serious objection. The Brass armour plates are on the 'bottom' of the ship. Usually for Amarrian vessels the Brass armour plates are on the 'top' of the ship. Consider the Impairor, Dragoon, Coercer, Maller, Abaddon, and Apocalypse.

Flipping the ship over should solve this issue. There might be issues such as the capsule chamber then needing to be rotated, but I'm sure CCP's interior design will be able to make the necessary changes.

No.

While ladybugs are nice beetles, the Crucifier/Sentinel are not nice bugs. They are your demise.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Sir, You can continue flying your cow to the slaughter house, which If I recall correctly, Has the Brass armour plates on top, where they belong.

No, Because theres better things to do then throw the Art team BACK on a ship to redesign. If they have time to flip armor plates around, They have time to redesign the Marauder Transformations and actually make them worth looking at.

The Crucifier never did follow the 'Golden Bump' design in the first place. I'd prefer if the new model stayed closer to the original, but it's nice enough in it's own right and I see no need to complain.

That's the beauty of this suggestion. There is no need for a redesign. CCP need only rotate the current model 180 degrees, then it will be good.

So? This shape suits the Providence perfectly because it's a bringer of Peace and Hope, not a ambassador of war and destruction. Moreover, the Providence is way too long for comparing it with a ladybug. All fine with the Providence and Crucifier/Sentinel as they are. Smile

Because up, down, left, right, forward, reverse aren't relative concepts or anything like that.

I've got a feeling the Punisher, should it get a retouching, will be a (singular-hulled) example of what you want to see.

Armarr ships are meant to be the most attractive of ships, it's clearly upside down, please change it.

No, it's not. It's perfectly fine the way it is.

how so?

it's clearly upside down, the underneath is more or less similar to the underneath of the Impairor .

The art team clearly thought it was a fun and novel thing to do, but have educated us into thinking that the stuff on the top of the crucifier is the same as the stuff on the bottom of the impairor. It looks like it's flying upside down and as such looks more like a minmatar ship than something that should be the pride of the golden fleet. Anymore of this and it will be renamed the brown fleet. Which implies the wrong thing totally.

It's fine. In fact, the Crucifier/Sentinel's golden armor of the Amarr faces to the opponents all the time when it orbits them or flies high above the prey, disrupting the weapons fire to great effect. The armor plates at the bottom of the ship protect the fragile and important electronics of the ship from damage of scarce incoming weapons fire from the opponents. This logic also works if the ship was flipped, but then the Crucifier/Sentinel would have to fly below the enemy, which is an inferior positioning and not what the mighty Amarr envision for their fleets.

Therefore: The Crucifier is well thought out and the design makes a lot of sense.

well really it should all be covered by armour...

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

Nerf web strength, Make the blaster Eagle worth using

Your absolute statement is very absolute.

Armor.
No armor.

Armor.

Amarrian design philosophy seems to disagree with you sir. Below is precisely where you want to be.

To be honest. I wish the new hull design was actually a battlecruiser or battleship and not a frigate cause that ship model is incredibly sexy

Also what Rivr Luzade said about taking the high ground, makes perfect sense too :)
